it's been more than a month since VO received my full appl;ication, but eCas status is still "pending review"
I'm thinking of getting CAIPS, I heard that it may speed up process a bit.
has anyone ordered it? is it of any use?

CAIPS is short for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System', which is the name of the computer system used by Citizenship & Immigration Canada to process all visa applications in overseas offices, such as permanent resident, work permit and study visas.
When a immigration application arrives at the visa office, the immigration officers create a CAIPS file. It is the CAIPS file number that is printed on an Acknowledgement of Receipt ('AOR'). The CAIPS file number is normally the letter "B" followed by 9 digits, e.g. "B 123 456 789", although for a study permit, it will begin with an 'S' and for a visitor visa application it will begin with a 'V'.
CAIPS maintains all information relevant to your permanent residence immigration or visa application, including :-
notes and comments from all the visa officers that have reviewed your application
points computations relevant to your application
background checks consisting of security clearances and criminality checks
medical assessments
Workflow Management
The CAIPS computer system normally manages the 'workflow' in most visa officers through the 'bring forward' system. Each CAIPS file is allocated three pieces of information :-
a code to indicate the current location of the file
a code to indicate what will happen next to the file
a code to indicate when this action is scheduled to happen
Visa officers log into CAIPS on a daily basis and CAIPS provides a list of tasks that need to be completed. http://www.caips.ca/whatiscaips.shtmleCas is updated from time to time, and CAIPS shows real current status of your application |

Dear 17th june i send another letter to england on following address:re-london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca,, they replied me on 23 june saying that the cases from pakistan to england are in transition and by october they will reply, before that i was suggested not to contact. that means london embassy haven't received any of our applications and may be they are been transfered now a days.

Dear All,
Almost two months passed. No changes in ecas. One of my aunt also sent doc to SG by mid of march. Still she dint get her status changed. I think SG is taking too much time now a days. One should get his/her medical req by 3-4 months. And should get visa after 5-6 months of submitting full doc. Lets see what is left for us... we should pray for each other as this may be a last chance for many of us.

As I know the average time (between full doc. submitting and medical) at least for Moscow office is 8-12 weeks. So seems 2 months is minimum.
