Hello bistolfi I just called CIO and it was very tedious to get the operator to answer me, After a while (10 min), an operator asked my my last name, first name, dob, and she put me on hold. first time told me they had not information of me, so she asked to double check the data, there was a mistake on my date of birth, then put me on hold again, the second time, told me my application was received by them and no notification has been recorded. Also, She told me that the CIO can take up to 30 weeks to give me an answer. I don't know what to think at this moment. any news BETTERFUTER? did you call CIO?

Dear betterfuture, I would say yes!, you must contact them, at least they will tell you if your application is under possess or they send you back already in case something missing in your package, you must be patient when you call them...I called them 10 times and each time an automated voice says "all of agents are busy ....". and after some trying I talked to an agent...you must digit 1-2-1-2-0...
whenever you call them, please tell us what they said.....wish you LUCK
I just called them at the number provided and they say i have to wait till 8weeks after CIO received the application. so no help there.....we have to wait. |

I'm more than frustated, I'm disappointed about this process. It seems the criteria to select possible resident is not the described on the manual op6. I am completely down with this, 30 weeks to give an answer??? It was just a "polite" forget it. |

He told me 8 weeks. He also asked if I called them first time and then he gave me a client ID. I just checked clint ID on the website which is showing the status as "We received your application for permanent residence on April 15, 2011". what exactly they have told you? 8 weeks? 13 weeks or 30?

Hi every body, Im newbie here. I m going thru the group n continiously following. Un luckily i found the group after i ve filed my application. Found that I had lot more to do with my application. Its 5th May 2011, n 2day i came 2 know that my BD was encashed on 20th May. I m now in to-be canadian queue. Onething i ve 2 ask that whats there any substitute of birth cirtificate in certificate like SSC certificate etc, i donot have birth cert of my spouse as it was lost some where. I 've sent appl without that, but now can issue duplicate one to become ready when asked in due course. infiant good luck 2u ppl n rest all, but do not b so anxious. Hi Mes, Welcome to the forum. Yes, SSC certificate is substitute for birth certificate. I also also have sent my SSC certificate only. Your BD enashment means that your file was checked for completeness and they found all papers in order. Thenafter they sent your DD for encashment. So not to worry much.
