I don't think that we would get PCC as we have already submitted earlier and had received it in 2 days

Ohh.. good pre-planning for the PCC nokiadesire 
May I ask how long back you had applied & at which RPO.. Doesn't the PCC have like a 3 or 6month validity?
Even I had thought of applying early & keeping the PCC ready but i was told about the short validity & had no clue of when the MR might come...

We had applied for PCC's in February before our application & sent them along with the other documents.

i got the info from varied soures, nevertheless from Form IMM EG7000 (07-2010), and below is the excerpt from it.
Location, Page 40/43.

Police certificates are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. If your application is placed into processing, these certificates must be submitted before your application can be finalized. Failure to submit police certificates when requested to do so within a specified period of time may result in the refusal of your application.
Note: If a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one.
When you submit the police certificates to the visa office, ensure they have been issued in the last three months and no earlier. Certificates that are more than three months old on receipt will not be accepted.

Have you sent you passports and PR fees to NDVO ??

Seems that NDVO has finally reached the last applicant of 2010-11 considering ACTUNGBABYK application received date is 28 june 2011......worries me as we left out applicants may go in cold storage.......  

what is also surprising is that he received the email of medicals at night around 10 pm (correct me if I am wrong).....This means that the Visa Officers are working till late hours .... if they are working overtime then we all may get our MR/PPR/RPRF before CHRISTMAS  

I do not know whether to expect MR/PPR/RPRF immediately or to wait more longer 

The only thing I see is -
Looking at the trend of last week.....currently NDVO seems to be encashing all the PR fees......so I am ready to send the money immediately.....Please send me the MR/PPR/RPRF

 nice analysis u r doing nokiadesire. u know i have applied in 2005, that file also pending till date. Finally i have desided to go with new file i have decided that if upto feb or march i will not get my MR,PPR i will start my new bussiness of electrical contractor.right now i m doing job in same field.opportunities are good here also.then i will widhraw my both file.& will do bussiness here.They should have to understand yaar somebody's life is depend upon their descission.they can not put it on hold.in my file i have nomination of my brother in law also.He is citizen of canada.though this happened to me..

but in this file we will hope for the best.

i dont know how these NDVO ppl work
y they r skipping some files, almost till june 2011 applicants they had issued medicals
i hope our turns comes before christmas, otherwise dont know when they will have a look on it
but i believe tht we will get something this week, have trust on god

Hi, I have the same thoughts. When we apply for this resident visa, we were planning to leave our country and leave  family, friends, amenities, comfort behind, among others,all these in order to get a new life in a strange country, of course we were aware of this. What I particularly do not understand is why they are just backlogging some cases without any notification, and as you say, it is somebody's life. In my case I am expecting to get the visa to travel to Canada and form a family there because I applied alone, with no wife, no children, and if i decide to do a family in my country I know for sure they are just going to ask for new papers, new forms, and the process would start again from zero.  It is very annoying how life plans are being delayed by a decision of somebody else and most important the unknown status of your application which you pay to be informed (not the status line on the webpage).

I am very disappointed how VOs are handling this subject giving any importance of what your life means. I am not expecting to get my visa from 1 day to another, just in regular times, but the normal time just applies for some. I took for granted that if they do not issue my visa within the lapse of 12 months, I will forget about this option and will look for another.  We can not stop time and bypass other thousands of possibilities, maybe worse maybe better.

I think that waiting is the only option that we have for those who have not yet crossed 6 months from their last step...for those who have, IMO it is best to send them a sweeet CSE which may tingle them to work on our case....Lets not lose hope

Nope I have not sent the passport(coz its with the passport office for the PCC) or the fees yet..
Boy o Boy getting that PCC is a chore!!! Still visiting the local police stn- file hasnt come there yet from CID
Anyways for the RPRF fees its INR 22540 x no of persons. You can make the DD in INR payable at ND & the mail you will get with the MR will state who it is to be addressed to..
&  I had a word with my consultant about the PCC you have sent, issued in Feb with your application...As per them(consultant) sometimes NDVO does request for another one which is newly issued(most cases PCC has 6 month validity)..so maybe you could keep yourself prepared there..Hope you wont need it, but..just in case

& Keep those spirits up...MR req will come soon.. My best wishes to all those awaiting !!
