Hi my documents to VO, ND was sent on Oct 20th and same delievered on Oct 21st. I did not get 2nd AOR till date, so I sent them a case specific enquiry and this is what I got in reply ( they have received my documents and is being checked for eligibility by VO and then will be placed for processing ) . My NOC is 0111 . MY Ecas status still says CIO El Rev complete..

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration
Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Your application as a Federal Skilled Worker, which was initially
submitted to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
The CIO recommended your application for further assessment at a visa
office and sent you a letter requesting that you submit a complete
application package to this office. We have now received your
submission.

Our office has created a file for you with the file number XXXXXXXXXXX.
Please note that this file number is different than the one that was
assigned to you by the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia,
Canada.  You must quote this file number in any future correspondence
with our office.

Before your application can be placed in processing, our office will
make a final determination as to whether or not you are eligible for
processing.  If your application is not eligible for processing, you
will receive a letter informing you of the reasons for the determination
as well as a refund.

If your application is determined to be eligible for processing,
processing will begin on a priority basis.
Applications in the Federal Skilled Worker category require an average
of 8 months to process at this office.

Once your application has been assessed, you will receive further
instructions from this office.  Please do not contact this office to
request a status update unless 8 months have passed since you submitted
your complete application.

Interview
If an interview is required, you will be notified of the appointment for
your interview, if required, approximately 2 months prior to the date of
the interview, and you will be provided with further instructions at
that time.

Non-resident applications
If you or any of your accompanying family members are not normally
resident in the area of responsibility of this office, then you should
be aware that there may be additional delay in the processing of your
application for permanent residence in Canada. This delay will result
from the need to refer your case to the Canadian Immigration office
which is responsible for the country in which you or your family members
normally reside. This referral is necessary to verify any information
that you have provided with your application, or for advice concerning
qualifications or other matters of a local concern that should be taken
into account when assessing your application.

Let us know
If there is a change in your personal circumstances, such as the birth
of a child, a marriage or divorce, you have to let us know (see address,
fax number and email address below).
You must also inform us of a:
* Change of address, including change of e-mail address;
* Change of immigration representative;
* Request for withdrawal of your application.

Dear All,
My FSW application is already approved by CIO and only then I have been asked to submit to New Delhi Visa office.
So what happens at VO? Do they have to approve again? or is it just processing?
What specific info do they look for? How long does it take for a request for Medicals?
I would welcome any feed back

CIO approval is based on your words. CHC looks at the proof. So yes. CHC has to approve.

Feb 2010 1st AORs are still waiting for medicals. So it is going to be a while for us.

Maran,

What is your file transfer/1st AOR date?

Hi,  my 1st AOR was dated June 29th. I am not aware of file transfer date.

As, VO, ND has confirmed that my documents was received and is being checked for elgibility before placing inthe queue for processing, I would say, ECAS is not very accurate like some seniors have mentioned.

For everyone information

Noc 0111, VO ND , Appl sent to CIO April 6th, Appl recd by CIO 14th April , 1st AOR from CIO June 29th , 2nd AOR from VO ND not received yet.  But email from them say, they have received my full documents and is being checked for eligibility by VO before processing, they have also specified time frame of 8months ( I hope its incl of CIO time and time taken for 2nd AOR etc)

Thanks

Hi Maran,

Thank you very much for sharing this email (+1). It seems they allocated a file number for you but, they did not say if they will send you 2nd AOR confirming that you are eligible for processing.  So, if you don't get 2nd AOR you should still assume that you are in process. Someday, the ecas status will be updated to confirm that.

Looks like we all have a long wait ahead of us. It is good to mentally prepare for 8 - 12 months for receiving the visa.
I hope they pick speed and make up for lost time..

Hi All,

My Surname is XY in Passport, all my education certificates, PR application. But in my latest employment I have opted to use ABC which is the surname after marriage, but my pass port still reflects my old Surname.

When I am submitting my initial application to Nova Scotia, at that time I was unemployed, and the story was simple only one Surname which is XY. I got the AOR and ready to sent the complete set of documents to New Delhi Visa office. In this set of application should I mention my ABC surname  under " Other names you have been used" ?. And attache my marriage certificate as the proof of my Surname.

My Latest Employment is same as my previous employer:

2003 to 2007 Employer : ASDF with Surname XY
2010 same employer: ASDF with Surname ABC( Surname after marriage)
Passport, PR application, Education DOc, all other experience letter : Surname XY
Marriage Certificate states : Before marriage Surname" XY", and after marriage Surname " ABC"

I am totally confused.  Sad please help....... advise me what to do........

Thank you all

I think there is nothg to worry about. we all know the surname of a women might have another after she gets married, so also in the case of transcripts, passports, etc.

if you have totally changed ur surname, u might ask ur present employer to keep ur previous surname in the bracket (), or if not so, then u might ask for to write ur BOD, &/or permanent residential address (for eg: this is to certify that Ms. .... (), DOB ... , permanent resident of...) in the reference letter.

hello everybody.

i am a pharmacist from india. i want to apply for canada immigration under federal skilled worker category.
i have a small query.
i have seen 2 checklists. one for CIO and other for new delhi.
so i want to know if we need to send the application forms and supporting documents for both the checklist to CIO canada or we need to send to CIO and the other to new delhi as mentioned to new delhi checklist.
so somebody please clarify this matter.
also if i use speed post for sending application, which address should i use.

thanking you very much,
with regards,

Joy

Joy,

The first step is to identify the FSW category that you can apply in (FSW1, FSW2 or FSW3)

Once you have identified the correct category, you have to follow the CIO, Sydney checklist and mail your application to them. This is the first phase.

After you receive an approval from CIO, you will follow the second checklist (New Delhi) to send the required documents to CHC, New Delhi. This is the second phase.

This thread consists of applicants who are currently in the second phase.

You can find more info at this website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Question from others who send forms to ND visa office.

Do i need to send the copies of the forms which i have with me (copies of originals send to Sydney)? If yes, then how i change the date and sign again becasue i took the copies after signing the forms.

Also i have got IELTS overall of Score of 6. Is that ok for consideration for 0213 profession?

All suggetions will be appreciated.

Thanks

As per the instructions the photocopy of the original is fine but the signatures should be original. That is the forms should be filled in and photocopy taken and than the original should be signed and sent to CIO and the photocopy should be signed and given to the VO when asked for.
In case you have taken the photocopy of the signed original than you can always take another blank form and fill it exactly the same way you had filled the original. The point is the application submitted to the VO should have original signatures as well as that submitted to the CIO.

Hey Swaru,

Actually we are a couple applying with the wife as the first applicant and husband as co-applicant. While the wife's qualifications are of 4131 category, her qualifications and husbands exp has added points to her. Even here wife has the same problem - initial change. There is no need to worry at all in this issue. Just attach the Marraige Certificate and also prepare a self-affidavit mentioning that your surname/initial has changed after your marriage from xxxxxxxxx to xxxxxxxxx. Get it notarised and send it along with the documents. This will take care of the issue. We have done it pretty much the same way.

Also, just as Lamhey said, it will help if you can get the reference from the employer/managers with your full address mentioned in there and the following sentence - "I know Ms. 123 ABC" alias "567 XYZ" residing at xxxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxx, xxxxxx since 8 months due to my association with her as a manager/supervisor/employer..." kind of reference letter. This will take care of your change in initial and your reference letter too.

hope this helps.

Thanks

It seems post June 26 applicants may directly get their medical requests from CIO instead of AOR.
Based on this and the letter received by maran1976, it looks like we also may not receive 2nd AOR.

Is it possible that we either get rejection or med request? or we get 2nd AOR?
What do you guys think?
