Need advice on one issue:

If a person has resided in 2 or more different states within India for more than 6 months at a stretch, do we need to submit the police clearance certificate for all the states or the police clearance certificate from the current state of residence would suffice?

Kindly help out on this

No. You do not need to submit the police clearance certificate for all state.

India is one country. if you lived more than 6 month in DIFFERENCE  COUNTRY than you need to submit difference police certificate.

good luck

I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC offices worldwide
No. of cases   No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011                 52423                 141098
As on 1st April 2012                 32641                  91104

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC New Delhi
No. of cases   No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011                 8130                    20639
As on 1st April 2012                 5053                    13236

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members

Need advice on one issue:

If a person has resided in 2 or more different states within India for more than 6 months at a stretch, do we need to submit the police clearance certificate for all the states or the police clearance certificate from the current state of residence would suffice?

Kindly help out on this
Minhas bai ji,

you need to provide PCC for each such place where you have stayed more than 6 months at a strech (if those places doesnt come under same Police district, which in your case is not, as you mentioned you lived at diff states) so you need separate PCC for each state.

No.
PCC is for one Country and not a state. In India, PCC is issued by Regional Passport office. So it is managed by Central and not at State level.

I have taken the PCC from the police department and not from Regional passport office. How does that impact? Do we need to take PCC from the regional passport office only

It should not be an issue.

If they ask for PCC again then go about getting it from Regional Passport office. Or else you don't need to worry.

Hi all I think new rule has put more emphesis on language, this is what I could understand about points for language from Canada Gazette link. Explaination by hotheart007 was by mistake done on existing point system.

First Official Language:
Maximum 24 points
New Mandatory Minimum
Minimum threshold in all abilities
Initially set at CLB/NCLC 7 band                 4 pts per ability (16 points)
Threshold + 1 CLB/NCLC level i.e 8 band    5 pts per ability (20 points)
Threshold + 2 CLB/NCLC level i.e 9 band    6 pts per ability (24 points)

So below 7 band will not get any points
