I am also on the same boat as you people.
Now I have one query. "I am waiting for my medicals and my passport is about to expired in 2 months, what I should do? Can I get a new passport before my first gets expired? "
Please help me on this issue.

Please do that because if they ask you for medicals and passports you will have to get it renewed. So don't waste time and there is no problem in getting it renewed before expriy |

It's not true as I got 2nd AOR in Nov 2010 and my friend got his 2 AOR in March 2011 . His in-process date is one week after me.
Whatever may be the case, files will be processed based on complete application package received by the respective VO i.e. your 2nd AOR & not as per they were deposited at CIO-NS 1st AOR. This applies to MI-1 Applicants. |

My Passport was to be expired in August 12 but I applied New passport in Feb 12 & submitted to CHC ND in March 12. Better you shud also get new Passport immediately. |

Navneet, No doubt whatever Arru is saying is very much same as per replies to CSQs received by many applicants from CHC ND. I had also received reply that finalization of application may not happen by the end of 2012 or after 2012 (i.e. 2013). So a BFD for medicals as early 2013 is obvious but processing will never be as per 1st AoR which I am again repeating. VOs never work on MI-1 applications according to 1st AoR. They are working & will continue to do so as per 2nd AoR. However they are likely to consider & prioritize applications of occupations in demand & such applications may be processed faster than the ones not in demand. |

When you apply for New Passport, the passport authorities put a stamp of "CANCELLED & RETURNED" in front & back pages of ur old passport & give it back to you. Later when you get New Passport you need to photocopy all the pages of New Passport along with old passport having stamp of "CANCELLED & RETURNED", get them Notorised & submit the photocopies to the VO. thanks a lot dear. one consultant told me that it is fine if you don't send new copy of the passport. you can send directly to MR with old passport. but you are right we need to inform CIC by sending new passport copy with old one. thanks a lot again |

At this point of time... All MI-1 are NOT special.. Only MI-3 & then MI-2 are special. Later after June 12 MI-4 will be special. Inbetween MI-1 with NOCs in Demand/AEO may be special. I belong to an abandoned NOC 0213. Although I applied in April 10 & got 1st AoR in May 10 but I will never be special as far as my NOC is concerned regardless of being April 10 applicant. |

Same with me dear from last one week , I can not check my ecase status. when you enter all detail and press SUBMIT. it says information you provided is not correct. Hope something good will come.... I apply for CAIPS and will come next month. Hope picture will clear that time. |
