I need to apply a new passport for my daughter because of her picture on PP is more than 3 years old. Can some one please verify the procedure for applying passport under tatkal so that I can be done with one trip to passport office

Apply online and take an appointment. Parents and child should go to PP office with potocopies and original of follwoing docs
Form 1 along with Fees of Rs 600 and Rs 1500 for tatkal

Following Docs of Child
Birth Certificates

Following Docs of Parents
Income Tax Identity (PAN) Cards; 
Birth Certificates issued under the RBD Act.
Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC);
Rations Cards;
Passport copy of both Parents

Additional doc
Annexure F
Annexure I
Annexure H

Guys I want to share a news.

I sent an e-mail to CHC asking about my application status and they replied that they have already dispatched the Medicals forms on Wednesday. They have advised me to get the New Passport for Child and submit all passports and medicals in 45 days.

I am yet to receive any letters/forms via posts.

So CHC is moving and we should see lot of action this tuesday

1st AOR date : 9th Feb  File Transfer: 17th Feb, 2nd AOR date: 7th May

Hi Ankit,

I am not sure but I think you will also need to provide the reason for tatkal passport. May be some letter from CHC indicating you need to submit passport urgently.

Now I am also thinking of sending an email to CHC...Can you please send me the draft email you sent to CHC & also the email id of CHC  ..... Congrats again dude....

is my agent lying bcoz he has 2 refund me 50% if i get refusal
or dere is some other issue
does it take more time ....bcoz i
have been 2 canada on study visa for 2years
plsssss throw some light dear.......

not needed imran. Quaoting from Passport website
"No proof of urgency is required for Out-of-Turn issue of passport. "

My ECAS is still RBVO and also I have not received any mail with medical forms so far. It was just the e-mail from CHC that confirmed that meds were sent.

GARY4444, I do not why but I still feel you have hope. Why do not you send an enquiry to CHC ND. I feel that since you were in Canada, your case may take some additional time to finalize but I still have hope
