Dear Friends,
I am new here and must say that its really heartening to see a huge community discussing canadian immigration. I want to post you friends a small query :-
Application recd. by Federal Skilled Worker office CIO Sydney Nova Scotia :- 27th June 2011
Bank Draft Encashed by CIO :- 11th August 2011
1st communication from CIO Sydney :- CIO PER eligibility review complete :- 29th August 2011
File Being Transferred to New Delhi Visa Office
2nd AOR by snail mail from NDVO dated :- 21st September 2011
Waiting for medicals now   Cheesy
ECAS presently shows :- Received by Visa Office as on 5th October 2011
Main Query :-
1) How long would NDVO take to send out medicals request?
2) After applying to CIO Sydney, I was blessed with a baby boy in August 2011. Mail & AOR letter says notify Visa office about change in family status. To avoid processing delay, I want to include CAD $150 fees for baby's application processing charges. Whom should the payment be sent? CIO Sydney or Canadian High Commission, New Delhi?
3) Fees to be paid in Canadian Dollars or equivalent Indian Rupees?
4) Bank Draft made payable at Canada or New Delhi ?
5) I will include with the update letter a) Baby's birth certificate b) Photo c) Fees  d) Fees payment form.
Please tell me, if Birth Certificate be sent original or notarized?
Also please advise me, if any other thing required apart from above...or if I have missed something..
Thanks in advance for an early reply Smiley

1.  Probably a year before you get the medical request, the processing time for FSW at Nd is 15 months for 80% of the applicants.
2.  You need to amend you and your spouses application, add the child.  Send the photos, a copy of the birth certificate, copy of the bio data pages of the passports, $150 either Canadian or RPs, see the fee page of ND Web Site.  It is sent to ND.  Read the checklist for skilled worker for ND.

Below is the detail of documents or actions that you need to take in order to comply fully with CHC requirements for new born;

1. NEW BORN Birth certificates (hospital and ministry of health). No need of notarization. Only copies can serve the purpose.
2. Passport of new born (and visa page if residing outside homeland)
3. Five photographs as per specification,
4. Additional family information forms (update) and signed in original
5. Demand draft of CAD 150/- (in the name of RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA)
6. Information on height of new born at the time of sending forms.

Thank you very much asyousuf and  PMM. Appreciate the help :-)
One more thing...banks here tell me that demand draft of Canadian dollars can be made payable at Canada only and not New Delhi. Hence i can judge from it that if i send in payment of 150 Canadian dollars for the child's application fees, it will delay my case considerably because New Delhi Visa Office will then have to send it to Canada for encashing the payment  Sad  Sad  Sad  Sad
Am i thinking in the right direction friends?  Huh
One more thing, I have applied for baby's passport yesterday only, so it will take 1-1/2 to 2 months for the passport to arrive...is it okay if i send them the passport details later and update my application as of now...or shall i wait to send all the things together ?

Dear..for Demand draft, do not bother about encashment. Procedure is set by CHC. U simply send DD in CAD and your job is done.

For Passport, suggest making it quicker...apply for urgent that i believe is also possible (may be 15 days). It is better to intimate CHC by way of simple letter for change in family info (mention your file number on the letter) and intimate the expected date for submission of rest documents. CHC will atleast know the changes and hold the procedure based on latest info.

Advise to submit all documents togather instead sending them in batches.

gud luk
