Hi all,

Great to come across a forum like this. very useful:). My huby is an Architect and we are planning to apply under the new rules updated on June end. I would like to connect with fellow architects around, to share info and ideas on immigration. Is there another architect looking to immigrate to Canada under the new rules?

in context with the visa office specific instructions,

For you, your spouse or common-law partner:
•Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas;
•College or university documents: certification of completion and the graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university and the evaluation committee;
•Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.
•Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)

pls could someone confirm in Indian context what papers have to be actually submitted and how to get certificates notarized? University sealed envelopes means do we have to request for a fresh one issued(he got it 10 years back)?

Please could someone share their thoughts on this?

You will need to provide an original, sealed transcript from your husband's univeristy studies.

You will also need to provide original documentation from whichever professional socieites where he holds a membership.

Q1: my PCCs hopefully will be ready with the ielts at the time of initial application.shall i submit the PCC with the initiall application?
Q2: Will CIO return the original supporting documents likle; transcripts,ielts,PCC,bank statements,experience certificates ?
Q3: how can i know if 2151 cap is reched or not at the time of sending the application?
Q4: i have a salaried account .i can send the statement showing the required money saved progressively since 6 months which means that i only had 10-15 % money saved 6 months before the application and 100% required money at the time of application.does this work.

Hi Dyaan,

Welcome to the forum Smiley

1. Yes, very much you can submit the PCCs with initial application. In fact, this will speedup the process later Smiley

2. CIC will not return any of the documents that are procured for immigration purposes(all of the documents mentioned by you) . In case they ask for originals of some documents later for verification, they will return the same after decision made.

3. Please keep a check on the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp. I'm VERY SURE 2151 will not reach it's cap this year. So, you are good to go Smiley

4. That should work. All they ask for is a current bank certification letter of the funds available. You are not required to send them statements.

5. Passports with a validity of at least 6 months is required, but to avoid hassles, it is suggested to have 1.5 to 2 years validity Smiley

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
