Your choice. Make sure that family joins u before their PR visa expires otherwise cancellation and restart of whole process for family.

Yes it is personal decision.
At the most with in 5 to 6 months they have to land in canada based on the deadline of PRV.

I suggest take them along. One time hassel free.
Kid schooling is free. Your spouse can volunteer job at school & gain experience while you look for Jobs.
There is no doubt that you will get a servival job with in a couple of months.
She can be your moral support and you have some one with you to share.
Get into a 1BR to start with & save money by spending carefully.
