I fully understand what your feel.  I went through the same agonizing experience, the waiting when will my application reach CIO? Then DHL tracking indicated it was received by Glenn Sept 13, one step towards my dream!   called up and visited the bank to confirm encashment, 7, 8, 9,10 days... finally after 20 days, yes! it was encashed! Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., nothing yet while July and August applicants are receiving their PERS.  Oh what a wonderful Christmas present it would be if I get my PER. Then nothing Oh maybe, a new year's gift, nothing . When will CIO resume office after the holidays? Jan. 1, 2, 3 4, 5 Bingo! My Precious! . PER said my application has received a POSITIVE final determination of eligibility for processing.  Yahoo... but then wait, what does processing mean?  Oh my, does it mean it has not been finalized? Waiting time again... Ah, ECAS..."received your application... medical results have been received" what?   Feb. 1:  2nd AOR. first in Manila VO! Wow wow wee!  But wait..."Applications for permanent residence...are finalized in an average of 6 to 12 months in our office...if you have not received any instructions from this office within six (6) months... please contact us..." another 6 months? Oh well, better be busy with other things from now on and just take my time. Then, Nursemich shocked us all with her medical request... her 2nd AOR was Feb. 3 and mine was Feb. 1, okay, okay, calm down, wait patiently... I almost stopped drinking coffee so I can have a good night's sleep from then on, but i'd always wake up thinking... what if? what if? what if?...what if my MR is waiting at our post office, tomorrow is Friday, if I will not check with them, I'll wait for Monday... the following morning, 8 am when post office opened its doors, my MR was the first to come out!!! it's been there for the 4th day that day and to think that I was having difficulty sleeping thinking somebody's sitting on my MR!  Oh well, now I'm at peace. This is it! MRs are indicators that Canada will be my future home.  What happens next?  Oh my, when will I stop thinking what's gonna happen next?
Is there anyone who wants to add some more to this happy story?

    great story! anyway, im a bit worried and super excited sa susunod na mga "panyayari". april 28 pa ang uwiko sa pinas, if ever darating ung MR ko sa end ng feb, dikopa alam kung magpapamedical ako kagad d2 sa Oman kasi una nagwowork ako sa Oilfield ng vast Oman desert. and gustoko magpacondition muna, get some workout/exercise, etc. ano pla preparation nio for the Med exam (at sa mga nakatanggap na ng MR)? goodluck sa lahat. at sa mga dipa nakakareceive ng 1st PER, wait lang po kau. pray hard. rocknroll!

Hi guys, to update you, here's my medical exam experience.

I chose Nationwide Health System in Makati from the list of DMP given by the embassy.

What you need to bring aside from those listed by the CEM:

- Ballpens (Black or blue only)
- Photocopy of passport
- Bottled water

Once you get there, prepare to show all the needed docs para mabigyan ng forms:

-passport
-photocopy of passport
-letter from the embassy
-pictures 4pcs for each family member

When filling up the forms:

-for those who have children, make sure na tama ung forms kasi parang iba ung forms depende sa age. In our case kasi, ako lang and si hubby, pero sa naobserve ko sa may mga anak na applicants, they will inform the ages of their children and iba iba ung forms na binibigay according to age of the child

- Be careful sa date. sa ibang forms iba yung format mo/date/year, sa iba naman date/mo/year

- fill up those with check only. For females, remember when is your first day of last menstruation. For those with medications, you also need to note it down. In my case dun sa history, yung yes and no question, isa lang ung yes ko, dun sa pill and medication kasi I am taking contraceptive pill. I wrote the name of the med beside it.

After all the forms are filled up, you will bring it to table 2, for verification then payment na.. Here in this period, you can drink a lot of water na, para pag nag urinalysis kayo eh pang second or third na ihi nyo na, so less worry na kung may uti kayo..you can pee sa third floor, right side, may cr don, so in less than 3 min, makakabalik na agad kayo..

Then payment and the rest yung medical exam na..

Height, Weight and eye exam
Physical exam
Urinalysis
Blood extraction
Xray

We went out at around 11 am, mabilis lang lahat ng examination, ang matagal lang ung paghihintay sa turn mo..

We were told if there is additional test needed, they will contact us within 2-3 weeks. Pag wala, forward na agad sa CEM.

Hay sana wala akong mareceive na call or text sa kanila
