Hi,

I have received my immigrant visa a month ago and I have already booked my flight to Ottawa this September. When I applied I stated that I would live in Vancouver. I know now I can do the landing in any province except QC. My questions are:

1. When doing the landing at Ottawa International Airport, can I give the officer an address in Montreal? Will that be accepted, or better state that I don't have an address yet?
2. Once out of the airport, can I go and live in Montreal and apply for a driving license and health insurance there?

Thank you

I wonder if this is the right forum to post such question. Tell me if I should move it over to some other forum.

The Border Services Officer might not accept an address in Quebec w/o a CSQ. However, once your are landed you can move anywhere in Canada, including Quebec.

Thanks Links18. Accordingly, shall I declare no address and head to Montreal?
