Visa office also provide new file number after submitting full docs by you, that is called 2nd AOR. Did you get Medical request directly without receiving 2nd AOR from Visa office? After how much days you got it from Visa office and what mode it came to you via email/via courier or via post? And when they post it you and when you received it?

As Ash explained, sometimes you get a second AOR when you send full documents... BUT, sometimes you only get the first AOR and you keep that number until the end of the process.

Let me explain, it depends on the officer that manages your case, he has 2 options when he receives full documents:
Receive the documents and create a new file number (that will be attached to the previous AOR) OR use the first AOR until the end. Both of the numbers start with a B.
It does not make any difference if you receive 1 or 2 numbers. Congratulations on receiving your medical orders!!!

 @ ash_1967: After sending my first application to CIO, NS in October 2009, I received an email from the CIO, NS on 21 Dec 2009 stating that I should submit my complete application to the visa office. This email was in the form of a letter which also had BXXXXXXXXX number at the top of the letter. I considered that as the 1st AOR. Then I sent the complete application with all the required documents on 28 Jan 2010. I received an envelope by normal post on 10 Feb 2010 from the Visa Office in Kuala Lumpur containing the medical forms for my wife, my child and myself. The medical forms were sent by the CHC on the 4th Feb 2010. I did the medicals in the end of Feb 2010 and I believe the Regional Medical Center received them on 1st March (as per the DMPs courier service tracking). I have not received any response from the CHC neither has the e-CAS updated to show that they have received the medical results.

I have never received any physical acknowledgement letter (via post or courrier - except the medical forms)  from the CIO or the CHC. My question still is what is the 2nd AOR in all of the above? I use the BXXXXXXXXX number that I received via email from CIO to check the e-CAS. Is there another number issued after that by CHC Visa Office? If thats the case can e-CAS be tracked by using either of the 2 numbers? Does both number show the same result?

In regards to your questions:

Usually, when youy get 2 numbers, you can check your e-CAS with either number. They will show the same result, since thay are both related to your case.
In your case, you only received the first number... and that is perfect (just a different aproach)... I would worry about it.

What do you mean by 2nd AOR? I just received the medical form in an envelope from the CHC Kuala Lumpur after I received the 1st AOR email from CIO saying that case has been transferred to Visa Office. I call that as first AOR. Do you call the receipt of medical forms as 2nd AOR?

By the way, in order to check for e-CAS status you put in the Immigration File number starting with a "B...", right? is there a different number issued after the medical forms?

@  Nanji: I think after sending full documents to local CHC then they will issue another file number..... second AOR mean that one. and after that one get the medical request... u are lucky u got medical

i am assuming most if not all have already forwarded their full documents to their respective visa office.
because if all of us received 2nd AOR last december...
120 days will end this april...
