Hi All,

I am working in UK. I would like to apply Canadian Permanent Resident through FSW. I have some queries.

*Am I eligible to apply this visa through FSW as I am working as a software Engineer. I heard that only computer system manager can apply as per NOC. I have only 3 and half years experience. I hope my job will come under below category as per NOC list.

2173 Software Engineers.

*How long it will take to get a visa approximately if I apply from UK.

* I want to apply this visa for my wife as well. I got to know that application fees are around £650 for both principle applicant and dependent. I thought, its worth if I go through a consultant. So I checked some of the consultant here. But one consultant is asking £1300.  Is this worth?

* I got required points to apply this visa. Is this mandatory to show English proficiency certificate to gain a points

Could anyone help me on these quires?

Many Thanks

If you perform duties as mentioned under NOC-0213 ( atleast 75%) then you are good to apply, designation does not matter.

Approx time varies from 12-18 months.

You don't need to go with any consultant, go over the CIC immi website do some google and read some forums like this and you will be a consultant for your self :)

If your mother tounge is not english.. better to give IELTS , even you have good points (over 67 without adding english marks) good to have IELTS score.

good luck

Thanks for the information pv.

Yes. I am doing 50% to 70% lead and management duties. Do I need to write any resume to prove this.

Thanks.

With your designation and experience, the chances are very slim. Your MAJOR role should be management (for which you will need to demonstrate a progressively evolved career), not team leading or development.

However, the responsibilities need to be given in the letter by your employer. You may write a resume but it is mandatory for the employer to mention the duties.
