FSW - Cairo / Egypt Office - ONLY 2009 Applicants

My case details as below:

I applied as FSW Cat 1., April 2009 to CIO NS
Received 1st letter from NS on June 2009.
Full Doc submitted to Cairo visa office on 4th Sep 2009.
Received 2nd letter on 16th Sep 2009, with new immigration file number.
online status shows " Application Received By Visa Office ".

Is that normal for that long delay? What is the time frame for cairo visa office to respond.

Hi Reksa,

Well by checking a lot of cases online, comparing and analyzing the cases close to us i conclude that they should send the medical request within 4 months + 20 days , for people in the batch before us they got the medical request within only 2 - 3 months, and for the batch before them they got it within 6 - 7 months,

In summary you should get the medical request maximum within 2 weeks,

when u get the medical request u will also get passport request both to be sent within 30 days ( Some few case were given 45 days ), don't forget to pay the RPRF, this will speedup ur case,

N.B.: Don't consider the online status as it is not always accurate, i know some people who got the visa and their online status still shows in processing, anyway in general the online status change every Monday,

No , hope tomorrow night the online status change to In Processing, they use to update it every Monday night,

we are in the same boat, I not sure if it is real delay from the embassy in Cairo or what? ..  Do you know some other cases with delayed

Hi Reksa, Masem, and Hamdi,

I believe that all the delays are from the Embassy Side, as far as I heard there a lot of traffic goin up there which causes the delay, suck that a lot of new applicants to process..
