You are correct. When i look at trackitt, there are many CEC applicants who have been processed.

But I also see 20 FSW applicants who have gotten their PR already so they are not going too slow. They are all applicants from Feb to Nov but most likely their application started processing in dec/jan so it is still fast that they have done 20. Unfortunately for us, for FSW, they look like they are doing Feb-Nov applicants before post-dec applicants....which is only fair i guess.

Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

My job was not under that announced 38 occupations list, but I am an international student in Canada since mid 2008.

Alie625

One question...when you click on the link "In Process" is it still showing up the date your application was received? Has it changed at all?

Does anybody know what In process means for those who applied between Feb-Nov 2008?

My case was transferred to LA and my status changed to In Process on Tuesday but still shows the date my application was received...

Hi bg_sikkim,

You previously said that your NOC was not in the 38 jobs and that you applied as FSW1 between Feb2008-Nov2008. I wonder why they have transferred your file to the original visa office rather than rejecting it. Or, did they take the liberty of changing your application class from FSW1 to FSW2/FSW3 since you are already in Canada and have been working there? Do they proactively do such a thing unless a request letter is sent to them asking for NOC change or any other change that may favour the eligibility of an applicant?

Should I be hopeful, since I am also in Feb2008-Nov2008 and my NOC initially was not in the 38 jobs and I sent a separate request asking for NOC change?

Hey ali625,
Thanks for the quick reply.. Can you please also tell that when did you applied for PR..
I was on student visa here and then I got the work permit. I applied for PR in Nov 2008 and got file no in March 09.
After that did not heard anything from the embassy.

Susana,
My condition is the same as yours, but I have not received any letter yet and I do not know whether my application has been transferred to somewhere else.

Sumi14,
I applied in Sep. 2008 with just study permit.

Hi mcgyver, i am still not on the 38 list and did not change my NOC. All i did was update Buffalo with my T4 and Notice of Assessment for the year 2008. Hope that answers your question...
