Hi, I'm planning on submitting my FSW application to CIO in Sydney, NS; but before I do so, I'd like to ask some questions:

1.- I'm visiting my family here in Vancouver, BC and I'm planning on staying for the upcoming Olympic games; I was wondering if I could send my application while I'm Canada, I don't really want to wait until I come back to my country of residence to find out if my application is eligible for processing or not, can I do this?

2.- Can I use a Canadian mailing address to receive notifications through out the application process?

thanks! =)

i think u can apply from canada to NS office. but after the initial approval u have to apply to visa office in ur home country.

its better if u give address of ur home country cos all the processing later on and medical requests etc will b done frm ur home country visa office.

its my opinion. u can consult seniors.

Thanks for the reply doc28! I'm definitely submitting the application once a senior  confirms this, can any of the seniors help me with this?
...about the mailing address, does anybody know how easy it is to change mailing address once the application is accepted for further review at the visa office in my home country?

hi
once u mail ur application to NS ul receive AOR thru an email only. u dont need any mailing address. it takes around 6-10 weeks for that.after that u have to apply to ur to home country visa off. there it will be easy if mailing address is of ur home country. i think u shudnt complicate the things.changing the address etc. rest is upto u. or anyother member might have something to add on this.

yeah, you're right... I shouldn't complicate things... thanks for the advise! Good thing is that I can still submit the application from Canada to NS office... hopefully it will be approved for processing...
