Hi im just starting to fill up the application forms for the federal skilled worker immigration. Im sorry for my ignorance but please enlighten me on the following:
Background declaration Education:
Here's the situation for elementary, my spouse completed it for 7 years due to an illness. Should I place the actual number of years for the completion of the course or the standard number of years which is 6 years.
For his college eduaction he took a 3-year course in software engineering however he completed the course for 5 years. Should I indicate 5 years on the form or the standard course completion which is 3 years.

I would say 7 years for the schooling and 3 years for the college.

Standard periods

1) 6-Yaers
2) 3-Years

Additionally spent period should not be counted as your educational yaer. Does not matter how much time you took to cmplete the course.

Wait for other seniors too.

Full-time equivalent studies: If you completed a program of study on a
part-time or accelerated basis, count the length of time it would have taken
to complete the program on a full-time basis

Quoted above is from page 6 of the Fed Skilled Workers Appl. Guide.

Your years are
6 and 3

To the Seniors,

1 more question though, should we attach a notarized letter of explanation for his education especially for his college degree since the number of years will be evident on the personal history part of the background declaration? I was thinking this would create a discrepancy so a letter of explanation is neceessary. Please enlighten me.

thank you.

Additional sheet is OK. No need to get it notarized. But dont forget to fix sign+Date
