Hi you can't get a student visa from within Canada, you'd have to apply from outside for a student visa.

In terms of a work visa, you'd have to find an employer willing to sponsor you and they'd have to show there are no Canadians who can do that specific job, this is done in the form of an LMO certificate which the employer would file on your behalf.

But in the case of work permit, would you leave Canada
to apply for the visa, while you are on visitor's visa?

Hello,

if you are a visitor then you are just a visitor , you are not allowed not work or study or take any aducational course, if you want to stay in Canada you will have to apply for another visa Category from outside Canada ...

Have you considered applying for a working holiday visa? (if you're under the age group 18-35) i'm not too sure if you can apply for that inside Canada but i've applied from my home country and then came out as a visitor as it was processing and now i'm about to activate it doing a flagpole.
