I'm applying for a PR within Canada and my visa will expire before I get an answer.
Is it possible to change my status as student to visitor?

Thanks!

Yes, although a study permit is just a visitor with permission to study.  Before your permit expires, you apply to Vegreville for an extension as a visitor.

Actually, I applied for an open work permit at the same time with my PR application... at the end I got both  almost at the same time.
