Has anyone skipped an eCAS status?  As per my understanding, once full application is received by the visa office, eCAS should show these in order:

1. Received By Visa Office
2. Visa Office - Eligibility Review Complete
3. In Process

My status changed from last week's 'Received by Visa Office' to today's 'In Process'.  It skipped no. 2.  Does that mean the eligibility review has been completed and I am cleared with regard to the points and NOC?

Hi mom,

Is your application at CIC or at your home country Visa Office ?

How did you check your status ? I sent my application to Sydney on 30th June and I have not heard from them. Same NOC as yours.

I want to check my status and need help !

Tx

Hi,

My application is already with the local visa office in Manila.

In your case, after you have submitted your initial application to Sydney NS, they will send you an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) with a letter asking you to submit full application within 120 days.  That is, if you pass the initial eligibility review.  Otherwise, it's a different kind of letter that you will receive.  One that nobody wants to receive.  CIO Sydney NS received my application on April 7 and I received the AOR via post on May 13 with a letter dated April 28.

In the letter from Sydney NS, you will see a bar code with your file number starting with B and followed by 9 numeric digits.  You will use this number to log on to CAS (Client Application Status) to check on your status.  CAS is updated every Tuesday.

Best of luck to you simplesimon!

To check status you got to have file# please. And when you get reply from CIO then you will have file#. I do not think you will be able to view your status at this stage.

mom2karl,
it looks like you passed the visa office eligibility review in flying colors. "in process" means you'll be receiving your medical request soon.
good luck!

that's great news dude... if i'm not wrong your status changed to 'Received By Visa Office' last week only... so, they processed and approved it within 1 week... that's fast....

jtob, thanks! you made my day :)

aspire & aanbaan,  yes, another proof that ecas is only updated every tuesday.

Jul 14 (Tue):  received by visa office (pending eligibility review)
Jul 21 (Tue):  in process (started processing on Jul 14)

you can see how ecas is not so up todate.  but hey, no complaints here.  i won't ask
anymore about the missing stage (Visa Office - Eligibility Review Complete) if you all say
this is good news.  thanks guys! good luck to all!

Hi Mom,

At this stage ...In process means that they have opened up your file now and they are going to look at all the papers you submitted.

So keep your finger cross for the success.

My best wishes and Good Luck to you.

Congrats! Mom,
I believe our status changed on the same day from Elligiblity Review Complete to Application received.
But my Ecas status is still showing the same. I am bit tensed. Can i ask you under what NOC have you applied?
                   All the best...

Regards,
Swaps.

dear swaps82,

thank you.  i applied under noc 1111.

don't worry, i think the time difference lies in our having different visa offices.  mine is here in manila. maybe we have less applicants here than in your country so the visa officers were able to speed things up a bit. let's keep our hopes up!

Hey! Mom,
Thank you for your reply. Well i have also applied under same NOC. Finance Manager. My Visa Office is New Delhi.
I have heard they are fast too. But, lets hope for the best. So, does In process mean you will soon get Medical
Request or they have now started to screen your file?

Anyways,  All the best for your application & God bless u.

"In Process" (exact translation) -

Based on review of your complete application package, it has been determined that your application is eligible for processing. Processing has begun.
