kahit ung mga things to bring na lng pwede u na i list down, and you can try to read ung mga link sa cic.gc.ca about before you arrive in canada parang guide din kung ano na mga dapat ginagawa. Kapag PPR ka na, it will jst take 3weeks then u will get ur passport with visa na. I'm Bicolana too, Cam Sur, though im living now in Manila.

ate Olive, about the Certificate of Driver's License abroad na makukuha sa East Ave LTO, was mentioned sa PDOS  @  CFO, kasi daw pwede rin itong magamit when applying for insurance premiun. Anyway, im reading the site of Manitoba Drivers Licensing, when we get there and we wanna drive, we will be assess kung aong level ang ibibigay nila sa atin na license.

Dc, di ka na kumuha ng international driving license sa LTO. pag meron daw non one year ka pwedeng magdrive don... paano nga ba? don sa ibang may mga anak na... sabi daw kelangan ng certificate of vaccinations from the clinic or hospital na naggawa non?

Sa mga paalis, if you have boots na flat lang wear them or kaya rubber shoes.

.. Madaming walking ang gagawin nyo sa mga airports so wear comfy shoes. Bring a jacket na rin in your carry on bag in case you get cold. Good luck!

what I know is no need to bring you baby, pero kung me CPR sya at passport dalhin u na, kasi ireregiter din sya as emigrant sa CFO (yan po ang alam ko). Let's ask the ideas of others.

question po sa nag PDOS na. kelangan pa bang isama ang baby? i have 2 1/2 years old son. wala pa naman syang alam sa ganyan.. kelangan mag pdos din sya? bicol kasi kami. mabubugbog lang sya sa byahe..hehehe.. salamat po.

Ok naman so far dc, it's still cold but I'm starting to get used to it. I've been sending out applications to different jobs, have gotten a few calls to verify info I gave sa resume pero so far wala pang positive results. Hindi din ako makamove forward just yet coz di pa final sched ng classes ng daughter ko and my husband's work schedule is not fixed either.

The advise I often get is to carry my resume at all times amd if I see a hiring sign pumasok ako at mag apply in person. I think they like that better than sending email. Nakakadrive na ko dito,'yung driver's license ko from philippines is valid for 90 days. I'll take the written test on Friday pero road test di muna, still need to practice driving (although I've been driving since 1994). Iba kasi road conditions pag winter, may snow/ice kaya medyo madulas. I think iba iba rules for each province when it comes to foreign issued driver's license.

Who are exempted from pre-departure registration?

All Filipino emigrants leaving the country to settle abroad permanently are required by law to register with CFO. No one is exempted from pre-departure registration.

But the following are not required to attend the pre-departure orientation seminar and to be personally present during the registration (they can also be registered by proxy):

o   Minors 12 years old and below
o   Senior citizens 65 years old and above
You can check the requirements for registration by proxy

Additional lang po base on my experience here in calgary, alberta. If you could get an Insurance certificate stating that you have no insurance claim. Malaki bawas sa insurance premium. God Bless..

Thanks for the update ate. I'm so happy for you that you easily adapt life there. Really? you can use our philippines drivers license, sana sa Winnipeg ganun din.

I'll be leaving for Winnipeg on March 23. Ang bilis ng araw..nakaka excite na medyo kinakabahan din..
