Hi Mandy,

First off congratulations! You must be relieved and excited!
I went to Coutts for all kind of immigration related purposes in the last 3 years, obtaining work permits mainly. I had a good experience with them at all times. There are other port of entries on the Alberta-US border, but not all of them is dealing with immigration, some is closed throughout the winter. You can have a look at the Canadain border services website and you will find the list with all the possible POEs. Good luck!

Last time I did my visa run I just booked the cheapest return flight out of Edmonton, which happened to be San Francisco (It usually is Seattle or Las Vegas). Got a mini-holiday out of it Smiley

Why don't you call the call centre 1-888-242-2100 and make an appointment to "land" at CIC Edmonton?

My friends that have had to flagpole from Edmonton all have gone to Coutts. I didn't think landing at Canada Place was an option if you had to flagpole, it wasn't for them. But if you can, that would sure be quicker!
