you can either apply as federal skilled worker (FSW) or as quebec skilled worker (QSW)...
for QSW you need french, as provincial nominee, or businessman and so much more.
just go to
www.cic.gc.ca
to find out what are the requirements and if you are eligible.
the web site will answer all your questions and if not the forum is here for your specific's one.
good luck

Do you have family in Canada? Or plan on attending school or qualify as a Skilled Worker?
As far as I know, you require a Sponsor in order to immigrate. It's not a simple process of filling out some parerwork and paying a fee and BAM, you are clear to cross the border and move. Although many of us wish it were that simple.
Here, check through the home page
http://www.canadavisa.com/
, it's a good starting point. You are bound to find what you are searching for.

you don't necesseraly need a sponsor to immigrate to canada.
if you have a relative there who want to sponsor you that's fine too, if not you don't have to worry about that.all you have to do is this:
1-if you want to immigrate to canada as skilled worker & stay in Quebec,
you have first to apply for quebec certificate of selection and then apply for permanent residency...
http:www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/apply-how.asp#1
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/index.html
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/index.html
2-federal skilled worker:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
3-if someone is sponsoring you:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp
4-business or other...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
just go read them and see what fit you the best
good luck
