Dear friends
iam madhu, i did my diploma in hotel management & catering technology in india ,i have totally 6 years experience in a 3 star property ,presently working as a food& beverage manager, i did my ielts in last April i got 6 band in that,, i too have a 3 years experience as a cook   , iam married my wife did her MBA , iam getting totally 71 points  ,now for the post of restaurant managers it has been caped up can i apply for the cooks category
will you please tell me which area is good to live and having good opportunity for hotelier in Canada, right now iam looking for vancouver, i heard  that cost of living is very expensive over there

If you can prove the work experience for more than 1 year, you can apply for the cook category. As far as the location to stay and other details can be provided by people already landed and settled there.

Well about hotels i don't know much.....but there is friend here who used to work with Hayatt India......his feedback about the hotels here in GTA is not very good....even big hotels like raddisson...... holiday inn are not that big.....yeah did see big hotels which were like really good....at niagara.....and toronto downtown......you may do a research about tourist places like banff n jasper as well....or may be you can look for them in alberta .....try n look for the jobs at www.workopolis.ca....

Yes you can apply for as cook. all you have to show your cooking experience. you have 3 year experience its more than enough.
just go it for and all the best.
