Sorry, but my friend wrote her letter by hand and posted it to CIC, Nova scotia. On the letter she quoted her file number and the status displayed on e-case and mentioned that her consultant had not shared the letter with her as yet. She wrote her email address and postal address for CIC to send her a response. She received a postal letter from CIC within 10 days. |

Did you receive the letter from the consultant?
ANother friend of mine was in a similar situation as you and wrote to CIC (postal mail) asking them to send a copy of the letter as her consultant had not received the letter. She then received the letter from Nova Scotia in 10 days with a photocopy of the original letter as sent to her consultant. Unfortunately, it was rejection since she wasn't in the 38 list.

That is a quick response to my post.
Well, I applied under 2281 on 4th sep 2008. At that time, I did not know that what is going on behind the curtains. The CIC declared the about rules changes on 1st Dec. (I think). If I knew that, then I would not have been applied for that. But sadly, I applied and now they reject my case because my NOC is not falling under new list.
What should be the next course of action for me??

dear friends,
ive also applied in this period and my NOC is 0122(Banking and other investment managers).After knowing about 38 list i just sent a letter to ND CHC informing them that i am also eligible to be considered as financial manager (0111).But after that i came to know that my application was tranfered to NS by checking the E-Cas status . I think my local CHC must have redirected my letter to CIO

You can ask the senior here.. I have the same problem as yours since I wrote an old NOC & sent the applications 2days ago & wasnt able to hold the mail...so Im planning to make a new application w/ a correct NOC and send it via express mail. Starting to print all over again & need to buy a black ink first  |

I got my refund back my case has been rejected as i applied in bookeeper which is not in 38 list now i am going to reapply as an accountant now i came to know that list of 38 is going to update in feb 2010 .
my question is if i apply as an accountant & i do not recieve file number & in between this time period list change and accountant occupation will not be there so then what will happen to my case will it be rejected again . what will be the locking period of my case or when my case will be accepted in process_
1- when the file number issued
or
2- when my application recd by sydney cic office
or
3- when my dd will encash
Pls. all senior help regarding that so i will go further for my case

2. when you application is recived by CIO i.r lock in date ....remember not to make any errors in application otherwise they will send your package back to you
ive seen many people who are bookeeps but applied as accountants and got rejected.So please take it easy
read duties and requirements properly
