Hello all

Pls. join those applicants who have filed there application between 27th feb 08- 30 the nov 08 & are not in the 38 skilled worker list.

I have applied in the same period as a bookkeeper & my occupation does not fall in the list . I filed my application on 5th july 2008 my ecas status shown in process that my application has been recd on 28th july 08 .
My status on 3rd march 2009 changed to that my application has been trfd to Nova Scotia  & they may be contact you
In april status changed to Application Received.
I have seen that many applicants who have filed there application under new rules & are in list there application are accepted & one of  forum member Narinder singh got his PR in new rule.
On the other hand some of applicants who applied after the new list came (1.12.08) & are not in the list has got rejection of their case.
But the applicants like us (27th feb 08- 30 the nov 08 & are not in list) not get any result for rejection / acceptance our cases are stuck there.

Is this the sign of hope that they have keep our case for consideration / exemption that we had applied when the new list are not issued .

Pls join here & give your comments

Dear Malli

My case is similar like yours . I am not under 38 job list and waiting for reply from CIC . I applied in September 2008. I have consulted with one of layer in Canada and he informed that mine will be probably rejection. I raised the same question that most of people already received rejection but mine one is still under CIC consideration. Probably they will consider case who applied beteween 27 feb 2008 - 30 Nov 2008. But he categorically stated that they are fast processeing those cases who applied after 38 job list release. So he told me you are heading towards rejection. I also talked about OP6 update wherein they specifically mentioned baout exception to cases betewen FEB-NOV 2008 . But still he says there is no such exception for batch of applicants.

So I am not discourging you but I am expreesing  all things which  happened to me. But anyway best of luck & most importantly beleive in GOD because miracles can happen.

Good Luck & keep sharing your views.

Thanks

Manvi if you will go through the whole Law, passed by Canadian parliment...It also says the retention of Particulay application which they have forecasted growth in certain profession. I dont understand what is this law about if they dont retain people from certain profession .....Your comments please.....Even i fall in those 38 professions but still i have comments on this issue ?

Hi Everyone,

Yup, I am also one amongst you, facing a similar situation. My application was submitted to Singapore in April of 2008. As of today (June 12, 2009), its status still shows "Application Received". Like for all those who applied, the initial status was "In Proecess". But a massive update done recently to the CIC system turned it to "Application Received".

I contacted the Singapore visa office via the online inquiry form on their website. In response, I was notified in mail that my application had been sent to CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

I will wait another month or two before considering submitting another application with a revised description of my current job focusing on the most suitable NOC in the list of 38 categories.

Wishing luck to all who, like myself, are stuck in Feb 27, 2008 - Nov 30, 2008.

Regards,

Hi All,
Two of my friends and I applied together in March 08. I have work experience for 8+ years including 3+ years as Systems Manager which matched with duties fall under 0213 so I mentioned that in my application. My friends applied as software developers. I received letter from CHC to submit full application in January 09 and my friends received letter of rejection in February 09. I thank to God for things happened so far as in March 09 this 38 occupation list wasn't published at all. I applied to CHC New Delhi. Not trying to dishearten you, just wanted to letter you know the facts.

I initially applied during the same time period as yours but application was rejected after the 38 list came out. Luckily my occupation fitted under another NOC so I applied again and I'm now in the process of collecting documents after receiving the 120 days letter.

But I understand that later on CIC made some relaxation for those who apllied between that period but their occupations didnt comply under the 38 list. So, I suppose for you its a game of wait really as they may consider your application under 1111 or just reject it. In either case, I'm sure your bookkeeping experience should fit under NOC 1111 so you can be hopeful about immigrating to Canada. Good luck

Hi All,
I am also in the same timeline as the subject line.
I have received a letter saying that Buffalo office has compelted my Initial Analysis and an interview may be required.
I am not sure if they will process my case or not.

Also currently I am in India and planning to ask them to shift the venue to NewDelhi.

Can anyone suggest how to go about this?

Thanks,
Kashyap

Are they going to call you for an interview BEFORE you submit your full application?

No Malli, I still am waiting and waiting and waiting............. :-( I really don't understand why it takes so long for them just to assess whether a case is eligible for further processing. Why are they puttinng on hold all cases submitted in feb, 2008 -- nov, 2008?!! I am freaking out!!
