Form 5481 Sponsorship Evaluation: to be submitted by everyone?

Hi everyone,

I´m confused. So should I submit form 5481 Sponsorship Evaluation or not? In the guidelines, it says:

This form must be completed and signed by the sponsor and common-law partner, only if the latter is a co-signer on the application.

I don´t understand what that means exactly. I want to sponsor my husband, so I don´t need to attach this form? Sometimes I´m so confused by the way they explain things.

you need to complete it. because it's a spousal app your husband can't be your co-signer, so he doesn't need to fill it out.

I dont know where you read that, but on IMM 5481 itself it reads "This form is to be completed by persons who want to sponsor their spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or dependent children who have no children of their own." Also in the guide (IMM 3900) it reads "Who must complete this form? The sponsor must complete this form."

no problem, it can get really confusing at times, I know it was that way for me especially at first
