Dear All members

please join me here if anyone wan to become a dentist in Canada.....as it can be very time consuming and challenging for us after many years of study again......but i think it's worth to pursue your dream to become a dentist rather than just being settled for a odd/ entry level job in Canada....

so, let's network and stay in touch and let's try our best to help each other to become and work as a dentist in our dream land......

Yours sincerely

Good Idea ...... but instead of posting your views in this thread ...rather we should mail/PM each other and form a group ..... since the thread may always go to 2nd or 3rd page, if no one posts even for a day .... Shocked

Cheers, Anil

To Everyone

many thanks for your response so far. i think every foreign dentist who are/ have been living in Canada, should network. so that we can all study, discuss, get together and network to get our professional license in our dreamland.

so far all i have known is that we have to sit for a fundamental exam.....do u guys know anything different?

let's keep this thread alive and let's share information to help us out.  Smiley

First step you have to register for assessment then sit for the Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge exam then if you got 75%, you register for Assessment of Clinical Skills and the Assessment of Clinical Judgement tests.
The Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge was held for the FIRST time last Feb. I believe that getting NDEB is harder than the visa itself. But we don't have other options. At some point we have to unit together to pass it together the same way we do with our immigration.

Best of luck Smiley

Hi dentistcanada,
Happy to join this thread, we landed in last week of Feb 2011, and are presently at Malton. Most of the info that we have on the equivalency process are those that we have learnt from the NDEB and RCDC websites. BTW have you started the application process for the fundamental assessment exam? We are yet to do that. And any idea if we need to get our credentials evaluated or do we apply straight away to NDEB with necessary documents?

Hi all,

If you are looking for training courses for Clinical Skills (Practical) and Clinical Judgement, I know there is a Training Center called Prep Dr. located in Mississauga Ontario. You can call them at 647-244-8126 if you need more info.

I hope that helps and wishing you all the best.
