Hi..good to find out this column..I am so impatient by now... waiting for my visa...I submitted my application last June10 2011...received a letter dated july 10 2011...for medical..however further examination was requested..and finally I got my medical clearnce last Oct 18 2011...As the DME advised me medical reports was submitted to Canadian embassy last Oct 24....and as of now nothing receve yet....hopefully no problems on this...   I knew some that they received their visa after 3 weeks..that's why I am so worried now....Help !

Don't worry, sometimes it takes 1-2 months ang labas ng visa after mapasa ang medical sa CEM. Depende kc sa review ng VO. Pareho tayo ng case  makikita mo ung timeline ko.... anytime lalabas na ung visa mo... just have faith to GOD

Thanks Sis. Be back tomorrow sa Service Canada to get SIN for my two boys, then sa English Language Learner Welcome Centre. Be receiving the Letters of Acceptance within the week as advised ng International Education Dept. Mag winter break na next week, nakahabol naman ang mga anak ko ng one week class, then resume Jan 3.

hello ate... birth cert, baptismal cert (kung Catholic po kayo), form-137, school card saka certification kung anong level na ung anak nyo sa pinas. based po yan sa reply dati ni ate deltaromeo. san po uli loc nyo sa canada?

it's just a matter of (a very short) time sis 
edmonton din wife ko, southside near millwoods area. as of now, nagtititingin ako apartments na malilipatan malapit sa workplace nya para pagdating ko dun eh ready to move na. parang ang mamahal ng rent

hello po thank god i found this thread. nabalitaan ko po kasi about the SPOUSAL OPEN WORK PERMIT and I am just wonderin, pano ko po b ito start? I am working here as a skilled worker NOC B, nagpaksal po ako last month and I wanted na magsama n din po kami dito s Canada, I know there is a way to do it at ito nga po ung nakita ko, please give me more information on how i could start it, ano po ung forms at pano ko po ggwin? ako po b gagawa dito s Canada or should I let my hubby do it.

one more thing my work permit is only valid until june 2012 will it still be ok if we apply for it now.

welcome sa forum.. this forum will help you a lot, pwede ka mg-apply ng SOWP, dapat may 6 months validity pa ung visa mo. ung ibang requirements makikita mo sa page 122-124 d ko lng sure exact page tingnan mo nlng. meron ibang members n ng submit din ng ilang pictures at video nila maghubby, lalo n newlywed plng kyo.

Here's an excerpt from the cic site:

your spouse or common-law partner may be eligible to apply for an “open” work permit that will allow her or him to accept any job with any employer if:

A. You are authorized to work in Canada for six months or longer and the work you are doing while you live in Canada meets a minimum skill level (usually work that would require at least a college diploma). Specifically, your job must be listed in Skill Level 0, A or B in the National Occupational Classification; .....

so I suggest you have your hubby do this now para pasok sa expiry ng work permit mo  sya kasi kelangan gumawa nito. scan your LMO, Work Permit, Employment Contract & Biodata page of your passport to serve as primary documents for the application tapos i-email mo na lang sa kanya para sya na magprint dito, mas mabilis yun. for the other required documents, i suggest you have him join this forum para mabasa nya mga previous posts dito sa thread 

sis chel12 posted what she submitted sa page 124 and that can serve as your guideline. mabilis lang to sis, kelangan lang maayos nya agad mga documents na kailangan. if your husband has a lot of idle time in his workplace like me, he can do this in a week's time. baka sa marriage contract lang kayo matagalan kasi super kupad ng transfer nito from church/city hall to NSO. for NBI clearance, i suggest he go to Robinson's Otis dahil mabilis dun makakuha.

hello everyone!!
ang tagal kong nawala sa forum,, hehehe.. ang dami ng nangyari.. di na ako updated sa thread..

anyway, share ko lang po,, exactly 1 month na po kmi ng anak ko dito sa Canada,, so far, nakakaadjust na po,,
at meron na rin po akong part time work sa Holiday Inn,, medyo malayo sa work ko sa Pinas pero ok naman po, nakakayanan,, at happy naman po ako,, at least nabawasan na ung inip ko dito sa house,, kung pde nga laging nagwowork, hehehe,, un nga lang po every off lang ako ni hubby nakakawork kc walang maiiwan sa 5yr old daughter namin, d ko naman mapilit na magdaycare baka matakot at biglang magyaya umuwi sa Pinas, heheh,, basta ngaun po ok na rin ung part time lang muna,, happy na rin,, at least me kita na khit paano,, pero tuloy pa rin po ang job haunting ko malay natin baka me mas magandang oppotunity,, hehehe...

sa lahat po ng naghihintay at sa mga may konting hassle sa process,, basta pray lang po and leave everything to God,, he will not gave us anything that we can't bear.. ung 1st day ko ng work naiyak ako pero the ff day, happy na po ako, i just accepted the fact that God won't give this to me if this is not for me,, and now i'm enjoying it already,, and i'm starting to love it! heheh.. basta anything po na mangyayari sa atin, keep the faith,, lahat ng bagay na ibinibigay sa atin me pagsubok na katapat,, at lahat po yan itinetest ang faith natin.. just keep on praying & believing in God!

Anyone there, na kinuha din ng SIN ang kanilang mga anak? Just got mine. Okay na din ang schooling ng kids, they will start on Monday. May assessment lang on Friday.

hi sis! walang SIN ang kids, it's for us lang na nakawork permit... inaapply ko rin ung daughter ko nyan nung dumating kmi dito, d kmi binigyan,, hehehe,, wla daw SIN ang bata.. ung daughter ko naman sa school, dumating kmi dito ng Wed ng gabi,, tapos Monday naenroll namin xa, Tue start na sya,, nakaka3 weeks na rin sa school and everything is getting better naman...
