Nsa Alberta kc ang husband ko for 2 yrs (1yr s Mcdo & currently sa TimHortons for 1yr ndn) ang kso ayaw mgsponsor ung employer nya. So we're looking for all possibilities kung pano kmi mkksunod s knya and how to apply for a PR....May isang canadian citizen friend sya n gusto sya isponsoran pupwede b un? pno ang processing? tnx

Hi jpalumbarit75, nag spousal work permit din ako kasi hindi pa nag apply ng PR yung husband ko. 4th year na nya this year sa same employer nya. Since hindi naman sya nasponsor or anything at kaka-skilled worker lang nya last november.. kaya tsaka palang ako nag apply ng spousal work permit. May requirement ang spousal... dapat yung work ng husband mo is under NOC O, A or B ata. Punta ka sa website ng embassy makikita mo naman dun sa frequently asked questions. Hindi ko lang kasi kabisado. Pero yun ang basic requirement. About sa canadian friend na issponsor sya.. yun hindi ko alam eh. kasi may money involved dun sa side ng friend nya. baka may makasagot dito sayo. balitaan mo nalang kami.  |

wala pa rin ang visa namin, i hope sa 30th marecieve na namin. let's just pray hard... i already faxed a follow up inquiry. Here are my timelines .... timeline : SOWP, & Study permit for my 2 kids bound for B.C. Nov '10 - medical Dec '10 - MR forwarded to CEM Feb '11 - Rcvd a letter from CEM to provide further medical report April '11 - Forwarded medical report to CEM May '11 - Waiting.... I have faith God will make it happen...God will touch VO's heart to approve our visas as soon as possible. |

@ micaela, thanks for your reply. Naghahanap kasi ako ng kapareho kong naghihintay. hindi ko kasi expected na ganito katagal. Kapag may kids siguro hindi na hinihingan ng questionnaire and proof of relationship through pictures. kami kasi hiningan.
Timeline ko:
Jan. 17, 2011 - pick-up of application by courier
feb. 9, 2011 - acknowledgment of receipt (AOR) + medical instructions
feb. 12, 2011 - had my medical exam
feb. 24, 2011 - received spouse/partner questionnaire
Mar. 7, 2011 - sent answers to questionnaire + letter + additional documents (insurance policies, SSS, etc)
April
May - waiting....
Sana dumating na mga visa natin. Mag update ka dito ha pag nareceive mo na yung visa mo. Salamat! God bless....

Peeps, dumating kanina ang envelope from Canadian Embassy. Ang kaso nadeliver ito kung san ako nagpapa-pick up before. Dineliver sa office address ko. So bukas idedeliver ulet ng courier para ma-receive ko. Yey! Sana VISA na nga ang makita ko. In Jesus' name! |

hello!  this is from my note on fb: read on.... It has been 4 months and a week of waiting for my visa since I sent my application Jan. 17, 2011. I was expecting it last March because the Canadian Embassy said so in their website that it will approximately take 8 wks. Kaya lang I had this delay because they had to verify my relationship with hubby was not just a mail-to-order bride thing. HaHaHa. They had me send pictures, video, cards, etc. I sent it last March 7, 2011. I was getting worried and frustrated because I was expecting it soon after that submission. I finally got to e-mail the Canadian Embassy to follow-up on my application (May 7). And during the long wait....I had an urge to declare in my fb status. Lord, i am hoping that this is the day. Because this is THE day that You hve made. I will rejoice and be glad!!! Woo hoo... Faith come on! May 19 at 12:43pm via Twitter This is the day that i got an e-mail response. How many papers more are on queue anyway? Ok moving forward.. May 19 at 5:53pm via iPhone The embassy replied to my follow-up e-mail and said that my papers are queued for review. should they need clarifications blah blah blah.... I looked at my VISA and saw "Date of issue 19/05/2011" Then.... Aileen Rose Tan-Magtibay I will rejoice and be glad! Thursday at 1:50pm ------>May 26 In my Open Work Permit letter I see the date it was written: "May 26, 2011" Yesterday, I declared it. "I'm going to get my visa today" when a package arrived at my office an hour later! The delivery man told me to go to QC today so he could give the package to me personally. And then there it was when I opened it. My visa. Parang panaginip God has been with me and my hubby all along. God is truly awesome!!! Kahit medyo kabado ako kahapon kung ano makikita ko sa loob ng package.. i know in my heart... it's His will for me to be with my husband. |

@ faithyou, I was so relieved talaga. about the PDOS.. alam ko wala na. May nakita akong thread dito before eh na wala nang dadalhin. Actually ang ipapakita lang sa immigration is yung letter ng embassy. Para ma-issue ang open work permit. Kasi visa lang talaga ang nakalagay sa passport ko. then yung letter ng CEM nga nakalagay dun na ippresent sa immigration sa Vancouver. Yung friend ko na pumunta this March.. sabi nya pumunta pa sya POEA tapos binigyan daw sya ng papel ng record ng asawa nya dun pero hindi daw kailangan. Tpos nagbayad sya ng travel tax sa DOT (dept. of Tourism ata ito?) which is pde ding hindi kasi pde din naman magbayad nun sa airport basta agahan lang. Wala pa akong sched ng flight. Nappraning pa ako sa dami ng dapat gawin and gusto namin makaalis na ako before june 11. |
