hello po sa lahat!,,  good afternoon Pinas! it's already 1:30am here in our place in Canada!! nagising ako at d na makatulog ulit... still adjusting i guess...

ngaun lang po ulit ako nakaopen ng forum,, and just want to share our safe & smooth trip & landing experience...

dumating po kmi dito sa Lethbridge last Nov. 9.. we got Korean Air and WestJet po as our carriers,,, sa NAIA po dumating kmi around 7am, and then Korean Air boarding pass booth opened around 8:45am na.. sa pagcheck in po, i just gave the attendants our passport & E-ticket... tapos chineck nya ung information,, no questions asked po... tapos weigh in po ng luggages,, then.. issued us the boarding pass... lumabas lang po ulit ako for a while to bid goodbye to my family... pagpasok ko po ulit deretso na ako sa booth ng terminal fee,, i paid 750 each for me and my daughter tapos pila sa immigration, ang question lang po sa akin sa immigration is  "nasa Canada ang husband mo?" and when I said "yes",, tuloy tinatakan na ung passport namin... i think ngaun mas aware na ung mga IO sa atin about our visa.. tsaka more considerate nga cguro sila kapag me dalang bata,, or mabait lng talaga ang IO na natapat sa amin... after nun,, pila n xray machince,, medyo hassle sa akin kc ang dami ko handcarry because of daughter.. after that, we go directly to the waiting are of the assigned boarding gate.. ung flight nmin from Manila to Korea, delayed, pero ung connecting namin to Vancouver on sched naman kaya we are really rushing pagdating ng Korea eh ang msakit me dala na ako bata ang layo pa ng boarding gate.. it's almost time's up na nung dumating kami sa boarding gate.. but then we had a nice trip pa rin from Korea to Vancouver and in fairness to Korean Air,, yummy food nila and all of their staff and attendants are approachable.. tapos before kmi magtouchdown namigay na cla ng declaration card for Vancouver immigration, padating namin sa Vancouver,, luckily Pinay ung sumalubong sa amin and they assisted me.. tinuro kung saan ako pupunta,, sa new immigrants ako pinapunta,, sa IO.. ang question lang sa akin is kung andito na daw husband ko s Canada, then ano at saan ang work. then saan nakatira at saan kmi titira,, at kung til kelan kmi magstay dito.. tapos they asked for the copy of hubby's work permit and that's it,, they printed and attached our permits na to our passports.. and then asked me if i still have other questions, nung sabi ko na wala na,, he just said "Welcome to Canada" and if we still wish to file for an extension of our permit we can do it after having hubby's new work permit... paglabas namin sa room ng immigration we got our luggages and go directly sa WestJet boarding pass booth,, same procedure sa Manila.. chineck in lang ulit ang mga luggage namin,, then issued our boarding pass... tapos deretso na ulit kami sa waiting area ng assigned boarding gate namin...around 2:30pm Canada time, nag-on board kmi.. baba kmi ng Calgary around 4:40pm.. really no hassle kc mga 5mins lang andun na din ang mga luggages namin sa conveyor.. and my hubby is there already... happiness!!! nagdinner muna kmi sa Calgary then we had a 3hrs by land trip from Calgary to Lethbridge.. dumating kmi sa haus ni hubby is almost 9pm n, Lethbridge time na un.. after a while,, nakapagrest na rin kmi..

the following day,, Nov. 10,, we applied for my SIN#, wala naman palang SIN# ang bata since it is for workers only.. they just asked me for some informations and after awhile.. i already have my SIN#.. and i have to wait for the card for 10 working days... then we go directly to Alberta Health for our health card,, we just filled out a form then they process it already,, sabi nila cards will just be mailed to us... we tried to go na rin to our prospect school for our daughter unfortunately closed na ung office nung dumating kmi and we were advised to go back and confirm it on Monday kc holiday cla,, but fortunately school is just 2 blocks away from our place,, so kayang lakarin.... after that, gala and grocery mode na kmi...

to all,, thanks for all your prayers,,, let's just keep on praying and ask for his guidance,,, i believed all of these happens because this is His will... hopefully soon everything gets well with us here,,, we're still adjusting esp sa weather,, in our place no snow fall yet but it is really cold already... 3 layers na ang damit ko,, 1 blouse+2 jackets,,, inside the house pa un hehehe,... but i am glad my daugther is starting to cope up and love this place already... hopefully pati sa school malove din nya...

as much as possible sis wag na kau magdala ng maraming handcarry ang hirap talaga tapos me ksama bata,, un ksing sa anak ko mga laruan ang laman,, nagworry kc ako baka mabasag sa luggage kya hinand carry namin eh since 5 p lng baby d ko naman napush na xa ang magbitbit hehehe,,, tapos ung sa akin naman SLR, laptop at Magic Sing ang laman, kya ang bigat talga... tapos meron pa akong ladies bag kc andun ung mga important docs at ung ibang kekelanganin namin,, tapos bitbit pa nmin 2 jackets na makapal at ung gitara nya,, ayaw ksing iwan sa Pinas,, hehehe.. kaya naman talagang ako ang nabugbog.. pero God is really good tlaga,, finally we're here,, ako ang talagang d pa makaadjust.. but i know soon kakayanin ko ito... sobrang lamig kc.. hehehe... so i really wish u good luck sis!!! see u here soon!

4 months nalang yung work permit mo so less than 6 months na yan which is the minimum required for the SOWP. Pero sabi ko nga may mga nag apply na dito na on-going ang work permit renewal ng hubby nila. I suggest sa kanila ka humingi ng tulong. Kasi kung hintayin mo naman ng renewal ng work permit mo, less hassle yun sa asawa mo. Kasi gagawa pa ng explanation letter tapos kasama ata dapat yung LMO mo na bago. nakalagay ba dun yung status mo kung single or married? Hindi ko kasi sure. Review mo lang yung forum malapit lang yung around pages 70 onwards ata I'm not so sure pero andun yung conversation ng mga sis dito na tumawag sa call center asking about that. Medyo conflicting yung case mo kasi sabi mo nga wala ka pang Work Permit na bago tapos dun mo ichchange yung status mo since single ka pa sa LMO. Hindi ko na alam yung mga ganung case. Censya na.

I'm one of those na tumawag sa call center regarding sa pagsasabay ng application ko ng SOWP sa renewal ng work permit ni hubby ko. sinuggest rin nila mismo na after na lang marenew ung permit saka mag-apply kc less than 6 months na rin nga ung existing work permit nya. wait nga lang kayo ng medyo matagal tagal kc sa case ni hubby, almost 2.5 months inabot ung renewal ng work permit nya, online application pa un. gustong gusto ko na ring mag-apply nun pero I opted na after na lang marelease ung permit nya. pero nasa inyo kung gusto nyong isabay, like sabi nga ni ailooney, hassle un at baka maging cause of delay pa, or worse ng denial of issuing a visa for you.

 mam thank u sa advice, okay lang kaya na single ako sa LMO ko? kasi nag apply ako bago ako umuwi para mag pakasal, then pag balik ko dito my LMO na ako, paano kaya un? pwede ko namn po siguro ipa update un dba po? ang balak ko din po baguhin ung SIN ko ipapa update ko  na married na po ako
