Hi.... You said your WP is still valid but you're gonna file restoration of status next week?.. When is the validity of your WP? Do remember that you can only file restoration of status within 90 days AFTER WP expiration...

Also, I agree with ailooney that positive LMO is a vital requirement for the Case Processing Center-Vegreville to consider your application for restoration of status...  

As to your main concern, I think your marriage does not make your wife automatically eligible to appy for an Open Work Permit.  That does not as well automatically change her status of stay in Canada.  She can apply for it being your spouse once you get to qualify (if your job falls under NOC A, O or B) and your WP is valid for the next six (6) months.

Bro, since your LMO is on process and your WP is still valid, apply then for WP renewal (if same employer), or New WP (if new employer).   You indicate the LMO file number in your application for WP.  The said move will give you implied status until you receive the decision on your WP application.   If approved (that, we pray), then your wife can apply for an OWP even from within Canada.  If her restoration period is about to expire on Feb. 2 and no progress yet on your WP application, then she has to apply for change of status to visitor to legally stay in Canada while waiting for the outcome of your application.  But, let's pray that she also gets to have a positive LMO prior to Feb. 2 and apply for restoration herself..  You may want to ask your employer to make a follow up with the HRSDC.

By the way, consider the processing times in the CIC website.. The processing for WP applications, be it online or paper is getting faster and faster.  When you filed WP renewal without LMO, the CPC-V must receive your positive LMO before the decision on your WP application is to be made.

Good luck, bro... I suggest that you consult experts on this because you have a different case... Or you may want to tell us more of your situations so we can help you better. Pray always and have faith... God knows what's best for all of us...

Pero iba ata yun sa case nya, di ko lam if tama advice ko, mas best talaga if magconsult si bro.. Thanks, sis... Keep on praying.. Sana maaprove na un LMO ng hubby mo sa same  employer.. Yun hubby ko kasi kakalipat lang ng work kaya wala pa sya kakilala matatanungan sa position ng hubby mo.. Keep your faith, girl.. Maaayos din lahat....  

Tama naman sagot mo, sis. medyo nakakalito din kasi yung story ni bro kasi hindi kumpleto. I guess he has to consult talaga. Hindi din kasi natin alam kelan sila kinasal. And bakit magkaiba pa sila ng status. so confusing din.

Kamusta na? I'm already done with my medical kanina at St luke's. I realized di pala ako pwede tomorrow so tinapos ko na kanina. And thank God clear naman. Yay! i know you're both planning dun magpamedical and i'm telling you now, tama silang lahat! Nakakaloka ang dami nang tao! 645am andun nako and nakalabas ako ng 345pm. Kaya, bring something to help you and your kids to pass the time like a book, magazine or psp (for the kids) kasi maiinip talaga kayo! good luck and hopefully, clear din ang mga medical results nyo! hi po sa lahat ..n pickup na po yung documents nmin just today hayy kakakaba pla mg wait ng results he he pero i have so much faith na magiging ok lahat (sana nga he he) ask ko lang po f san mas mganda mgpa medical kse yung husband ko before s Nationwide as well as dun sa iba kong kakilala.. nbasa ko kse na sa St.lukes mlalaman mo results within the day tama po ba since dito kmi sto tomas batangas pa sana alam ko agad f my test na dapat ulitin para m pgplanuhan at wat po rate nila for adults and kids medical... thanks po! gudluck sa mga ngaantay ng visa im sure on the way na yan he he and congrats sa mga n grant na !!! godbless to all!!

  @  Ganganglola, Welcome to forum! Definitely you can apply for your husband and kids spousal work permit and study permit as long as you under skilled worker under NOC 0, a or B. You can review the previous thread as  what are the requirements but the most important is your WP as skilled, employment contract, LMO, payslips, T4 and proof of funds.

Lagi kaming nasa Somerset ng hubby ko kasi dun nakatira cell leader namin. May kilala ako dyan sa Fort Mcmurray dati kong officemate. malamig nga dyan pero malaki rate. hehe

Good day mga kababayan...... I have some inquries kase im going to ontario for a 2year contract and i want my wife and child to follow me afte 6 months or so..... Her ar some of my questions i hope some of you guys answer....by the way nag research nadin ako at nasa qualified noc code naman yung code ng work permit ko....
1. The cover letter ba is the same for my wife and my child? Or isa nalang para dun s dalawa
2. Magkasama ba sa isang envelop yung application ng wife k at 4yearold son?
3. I have a peding fsw application, 6 years na kase yn nung 2006 pa, ang tagal kaya nag apply ak ng working visa buti ok na, ang tanong maganda ba sabihin ko nadin sa cover lette ko yun at magpss nadin ako ng photo copy ng file number ko? Will it help kaya?
4. Kailangan ba lagyan ng label yung envelop......(ex. Application for sowp)

 @ gandanglola, it is my youngest daughter (16 yrs. old, high school) that would be with me. My son 19 years old (4th yr.college) to be filed his application only this month because our consultant agent did not allow to include him because they are requiring us big amount of proof of funds. But this month I will file for his application on my own and I will prepare for his covering letter. Previously, it is our consultant who prepare for our covering letter. But to give you an input when I read the our covering letter, it was mentioned there about the intention of joining with my husband for temporary only and it is clear to us about our status that we are going back to our home country, my husband work and status of employment, my present work and status here in manila, my daughter's current school level, my husband will shoulder for our expenses there, how long we been married and hw many kids we have, and on the second page is the list of documents we submitted. Just make it simple and precise.
