pareho tayo sa mercan din ako ng paayos ng papers. ung mga video and pictures, submmit lang nila un kung newly married sila but long time enggaged na. Ung proof of fund naman kaylangan tlga  un kc dependent tyo ng hubby natin and to prove sa embassy na kaya nila tyo buhayin even wala tyong work dun. mas ok kung pareho kyong my proof of funds.

Hi Manellie! We asked Mercan about the proof of funds, sabi kasi nila, basta may stable job daw si hubby, okay na daw yun. Pero just in case, we will both be ready with our savings account na lang para sure kasi mukhang lahat kayo nag-submit, e. Mabuti na din siguro na naka ready lang sya. Thank you and good luck to us!

Hi, sis! Like you i hired a consultant to help with the application. Pero sayang kasi ngayong alam mo na itong forum na ito naka-save ka sana ng malaki. Basahin mo lang mula simula yung forum na ito andito na list ng kailangan mo. As for proof of funds, hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ka pina-submit ng Mercan. Pero since they are your consultants, then you just have to trust them. May remittances ba na hiningi sayo? As for the pictures/videos... depende kasi yun. How long have you been married? Those of us who had been in bf-gf relationship before our spouses went abroad were the ones asked for those evidences. So if you've been married long na... don't worry. If not naman, don't worry pa din. hehe. advance lang masyado yung nabasa mo. It depends on the Visa Officer if he/she wants to request those.

Hindi ako sure dun sa submission ng application without the WP. It's because our visas are automatically dependent on the expiration of the work permit. I don't want to scare you pero baka depende na yan sa diskarte ng agency/consultant mo, which is Mercan. I know reliable naman si Mercan.

I suggest you go over the posts here mula simula and take notes. Tapos you make follow-up questions nalang after. God bless!

Hi Ailooney! Hindi ko din sure why di nagmatch yun list of requirements na pinapapasa ng Mercan sa akin at sa mga requirements na naipasa nyo na. Pero nung nagusap kami ni hubby sa Skype kanina, i mentioned that to him and next week, i clarify ko ulit sa Mercan. Reliable nga naman sila coz hubby knows a lot of pinoy in Canada na natulungan nila. Wala din silang hiningi na remittances pero buti na lang tinabi ko yun mga copies ko, I'll bring those next week sa Mercan, just in case. Hay, salamat talaga sa forum na ito at least, may guidance from people who have gone thru the process.

We've been married for 3 years pero before he left for Canada, 2 years ko na syang bf. He left 2008 and went back 2009 so we can get married. Just this September, umuwi sya for vacation but wala pa din kami baby. Heard about your pregnancy... Congrats!

Hi Nigella15!!! Welcome to the forum.  Sis, we have same concern as I have also been waiting for the new WP of my hubby. If you re-read my posts, I have been consistent in telling that my SOWP would be submitted in December 2011 considering the CIC processing times for new WP under paper application.

But, just a while ago, I phoned the CEM Visa Inquiry and was able to speak with a certain Ms. Cassandra.  I inquired exactly our situation and here are some details of our conversation that might be of help to us (Me, You, and Jewelle):

Me: Can I submit my application for SOWP even if my hubby's WP is still on process?

Cassandra: Yes, you can, you just have to attach a letter of explanation.  But it's up to you whether to submit it now or wait for the WP of your husband.  The decision however depends on the VO who will handle your application.

Me: What if the new WP arrives few weeks after I have submitted my application to CEM?
Cassandra:   You must submit the WP as an additional document.  Call the courier service for pick up of the additional document.

Me: Do I have to wait for communications from CEM before submitting it?

Cassandra:  Not really, you can send additional docs even without any communication yet from the CEM.  However, the VO will request for additional documents when he finds necessary after you have submitted your application and additional documents..

Hope this helps us decide.  When did your hubby apply for WP (new employer)?

In my case, I have already renewed my passport last Thursday and I will receive it by November 15 (rush processing).  Yung old passport ko will expire April 2013 pa, pero pinarenew ko na para mtagal validity so until October 2016 na pag nareceive ko yun new. Kaya much as I would like to submit our application now,  I can't do so without the passport.  Hehe passport naman naging dilemma ko now. Pero okay narin kasi we expect hubby's new WP by 3rd week of December, kaya kung mga November 16 kami magapply, mga more than 1 month pa lang yun application ko sa CEM. Baka kasi pag matagal pa release ng WP ni hubby tapos inapply ko this early, mapilitan ang VO na magdecide kahit wala pa WP as an additional document, maging ground pa for denial.. Kaya wait wait padin ng konti.  Let's ask for wisdom and His guidance.  I-weigh mo din yun situation ...Taska lahat ng friends natin dto matutulungan tao sa documentations. Eh need nya kasi yun para maka-apply nang new WP. So based sa timeline, around January na namin ineexpect new WP nya. Buti pa rin sa inyo since by December, may new WP na pwede mo na i-start application mo. I have to talk to my hubby about this new info kasi for me, better na nga siguro na mag wait kami until January. Mercan kasi is so confident na okay lang daw magsubmit na ASAP even w/o the new WP, baka nga daw sabay pa lumabas WP namin pareho ni hubby. Hay, kaloka, di ko talaga alam ano ba talaga. Yun Mercan rep kasi namin based in Montreal, Canada so si hubby lagi nyang kausap. I think it's also better that I visit their Manila office at i-clarify ko din mismo from them. Medyo busy kasi talaga ako sa work kaya di ko magawa. I will let everyone know ano ang sasabihin nila. Pero ikaw, decided ka na talaga to wait until December? I wish us all good luck! Praying for guidance and wisdom...

question lang po nung nag-pass kayo ng application and tracked it via Air21's website: ano/kanino yung lumabas na signature sa inyo?
i checked mine kasi and it said: "Shipment delivered to canadian embassy on 10/29/2011 05:39." tapos yung signature is handwritten na "CANADIAN EMBA" lang. is that normal? nakita ko kasi sa previous posts na andun yung name ng guard sa signature...

if I were you, hintayin mo nlng WP ng hubby mo kc aq second application n nmin ito. 1st n denied kasi less than 6 months nlng ung WP ng hubby ko. sayang naman ung embassy fee mo kung mgririsk ka tutal january namn lalabas ung WP ng hubby mo. better to be safe sis.

hi kenj! yes, ganun din sakin, CANADIAN EMBA (in capital letters) ang signature.. ahead ako sau 3days na nareceive ung application... let's just pray na maging maayos ang processing and mapunta sa not-so-strict-VO ung applications natin para masmabilis processing..hehe..

i've read ur post pala, and sobrang nkk-touch ung love mo para sa wife mo... very rare ang men na ganyan,.. at dahil sa loyalty and faithfulness mo sa wifey mo, iggrant ni GOD ang desires ng heart mo... so be happy and stay faithful kay wife and kay God...

Hello!!! Sis, actually I am planning to apply by November 17, even without my hubby's new WP yet.  I recalled that JOYCHEL had the same situation as ours. To my recollection (di ko lang mahanap exactly yung post nya—hahanapin ko pag may time), she submitted the SOWP application ng wala pang WP, pero naglagay sya ng letter of explanation. Tapos, timing naman na nun nagrerequest ng additional documents and MR ang CEM, dumating ang WP ng hubby nya so sinama na nya sa additional documents yun WP scanned copy.  Tapos ok naman ang apply nila, nandun na sila sa Saskatchewan.  By the way, sya din yung walang inattach na bank cert nya or ng hubby, kaya sobrang kinakabahan sya nun nasa processing stage... Pero God is good talaga...

Sa case ko, pag chineck ko yun timelines, mga November 17 ako magapply, tapos 3rd week of December ang dating ng WP ni hubby. Kung magsesend ng MR and/or additional documents ang CEM, malamang dadating yun 1 month after my application. So ang iniisip ko, if ever dumating agad ang WP ni hubby ng wala pang reply ang CEM, isesend ko na agad as additional document. Pag naman may communication na CEM at di padin nadating WP ni hubby, idedelay ko ng konti ang medical naming mag-ina, para bago isubmit ng Nationwide sa CEM eh may WP na... Do you think okay lang to? Considering medyo maganda yung gap at magpapanagpo mga dates? Instead maghintay ng matagal, at least tatakbo na papers namin. Sayang din kasi ang one month pa na ipaghihintay, kung pwede naman pala isubmit.  I believe He'll guide me on this.  Mag-ask ako ng signs..
