Questions on how to raise the processing fees to accompany applications to CIO for nigerians is a regular feature on this forum. I stumbled on this information and decided to make it available to those who may need it.

You can pay your processing fees as follows:

1. Download and complete the following form http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/ghana/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng
2. Contact the Ghana Embassy for the current currencies they accept and the exchange rates
3. Raise the cheque and send with the filled form to the CHC. You do not need to send your application at this point.
4. The CHC will reply with a receipt for the payment.
5. Fill the application form following the general instructions
6.  Attach the receipt you received from the CHC to your application and send to CIO in Nova Scotia, Sydney.

Other processes will follow as though you paid by any other means.

Sincerely hope this helps somebody

Please, dont waste your time. you can either use credit card from Nigeria or u get somebody outside the country(UK, US orCanada to the a draft for you in Canadian dollars.

I filled out the Accra payment form, attached a draft in us dollars and sent on 29th of December 2009.
My draft was returned back late January 2010 and i was directed to send my payments and application to CIO.

Hello najia people,
This is for the benefit of those who might be asking this question of How to get Canadian Dollars draft.
First open a dom account with any branch of GTBank, with hope dat u have existing savings\current AC.
If u are in Lagos visit the victoria Island branch Ademola Adetokunbo branch requesting for draft 3rd floor. Ur account can be US dollar account it doesn't matter ensure u have paid in d dollar into ur bank account b4 proceeding to V.I branch & dey will help u get d draft in 3\4 hours.
Thank u
