My name is Chintu. I applied at London CHC and got an AOR in July 2007. I got my doc update request in May 2009 and sent my documents in June 2009. Since then I have been waiting.

Hi all. I would appreciate if you can shed a little answer to my queries: I filed my Application December of 2007. I applied with a common law partner. The last letter I received from CHC London is asking if I want to withdraw my application, after that I did not hear anything from them. I checked the status of my application in e-cas and it shows "in process". here are my questions:
1. Is it really that slow when it comes to processing of applications?
2. How can I check the real status of my application aside from e-cas?
3. I have separated with my common law partner, will it affect my application? Do I need to inform CHC about it and
make some changes? How?
4. I lost all the copies of the documents I sent (application), how will I deal with it? Will it be needed in the future?
5. Can I request CHC to make all the sending of document via DHL or FedEx at my expense?

Hello, I applied in London office in Dec. 2007 and received a letter in June, 2008 that you are interested or not. If interested than please dont write us. Now if any one Dec. 2007 applicant received update letter from London than please inform me. Secondly my detail is not available on net as well.

Sorry guys.
There is nothing you,me or we can do about it. They work at their own pace, time and schedule.
For the old applicants, It's just like the GC lottery - Luck.
However, from trackitt, it looks as if a few "chosen" candidates are being worked on.

It is really bad news.The system seems to be in a deep mess.They should first consider cleaning the mess ( backlog till to date) before starting to build another backlog! If they have had enough of immigrants,then they should as well make it clear, instead of keeping applicants hostage..with their antics of wait..wait..file under review..file under final review bla bla..security checks not yet bla bla.... |

Hey all,
My time line in my signature, now, I sent my documents request Oct '09, on Feb 2010 they asked me to send further documents namely
my wife's birth certificate and her PCC and my updated bnk statement (I was not married when I filed, therefore these docs were not attached with the documents update, and as of right now, I did not pay her fees as well, since im planning to travel alone, at least in the beginning and then process her case (sponsor her)once my case is approved and ive landed)
I received a letter stating " your file was reviewed and the documents mentioned are needed, send the specified documents with in 60 days, an officer will evaluate your file after 60 days",
does it by any chance means, that i could have passed the points?? since my file was reviewed as the letter stated? or am i being too optimisitc??

Hey!
Applied to London August 2007, AOR 17 Sept 2007.
Received a doc request 27 Feb 2010 saying my case is part of a small group that has been passed on to the Case Processing Pilot Ottawa (CPPO) to speed up things. There's another thread on this specific situation Apparently they're trying to take some work off London's hands (might be hope for "non CPPO" London applicants!). We're trying to work out who got transferred to CPPO and why (AOR dates, NOC?) but so far there's only a handful of us.
The letter was a doc request, it was sent by London telling us to send our docs to Ottawa, so we're sending it to Ottawa.
A few of us have contacted CPPO at the email provided in the letter, got same-day, even half-hour replies! may be a good sign...
A few confusing things, like giving us 2 checklists (the cover checklist issued by CPPO and the London checklist) asking fo slightly different things (2 vs 4 photos) etc. I went for safer and sent anything that was in only mentionned in one of the checklists (that included 4 years of notarised pay slips... that was on heavy bundle!). More confusion when a second, identical letter arrived from London 2 weeks later... Visibly communication between Londo and Ottawa isn't very good, it's a Pilot so I guess they're not always clear yet about who does what... We ignored that second letter, thinking that an earlier date on a letter is always a good thing!
If anyone else was passed onto another office please share!

Have you noticed that the last update letter sent to a 2007 applicant was on the 11th of March, 2010.
Have they stopped/Paused again?
