Hi All,

I would be posting my Docuemnts tomorrow. But this time draft would be in Indian Rupees. Please confirm ($490 + $490)= $980. Please confirm the amount in Rs.
Or its mandatory to send in canadain $.

1) First of all you need not to send fee amount along with full application to Visa office. Just send your documents.  Secondly If you still want to send fee send it in CAD not in INR.

2) Address is correct: I sent on the same address and it reached there on time.

3) Send your documents today or tomorrow if you have deadline of 18th Jan. With in Delhi it takes 3 days to reach.

Yes. Correct. Fee is optional right now. Only send documents

You can send fee latter once you will get request for medical and passport. They will send letter to you to deposit your fee.

I have checked my status . But it has shown like this.

No Information available for your file.This status checking is available for those whose file is in process. Your application may have been received but processing may not started .

Can you tell me what exactly means that?

According to checklist it says:
Payment Instructions
Consult the Fees section of our Web site or the Guide for Skilled Worker Applicants
to calculate your fees. You must include a bank draft payable to the Canadian High
Commission for the Right of permanent residence fee for yourself and all
accompanying family members. Note that the processing fees are not refundable at
this stage. Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian rupees at the exchange
rate currently in use at the Canadian High Commission. Do not enclose cash

nowhere it says that payment is optional at this stage.

Please clear my confusion.

I myself pasted the photos in the space given in the form. Its up to you.

important thing is to send 6 photos for each applying member. I don't think it matters whether you paste photo or not.

Did you see this status with new file number or seeing this with old file number (which got from Nova Scotia)?

I really don't know what does this mean . According to the cic website it should be

"received by Visa office"
"docs review complete"
"In Process"
"decision made"

I have checked with old file number received from Nova Scotia.and no information is available on that file number.

want an advise 4m u all...

my application got approved 2day from nova scotia...all my documents are ready but there is a problm....i gave my IELTS on 10th january,2009..this means dat now it is more than 1 year old..do i need to take the test again considering it is one year and few days old......

Hi Reet - you dont have to take the IELTS again as the one which you took on Jan 10th 2009 is valid for your current application.

The guide states that the result should not be more than one year old at the time of submitting your application (to CIO).

Since you received your approval today , i am assuming that you might have sent your application to CIO sometime in the last year.At that time , your result was still valid. Hence , no problem!

Hi All,

After collecting my docs from the last 4 months, I was able to send my Documents yesterday to CHC New Delhi.

Now I can only wait and hope for good.

Is there anyone who can tell me approximately how long that wud take for me to receive any reply.

Also reply wud in the form of email or letter.
