please let know that it takes about 60 - 70 days for the CIO NS to respond. there are two possibilities

a) if the time duration exceeds and your DD has not been encashed in that case probably ur application will revert back to you.
b) if the time duration has not elapsed, please wait .....

from my experience, i have got back my application after 4 months and i knew that my application has not been accepted as my DD has not been encashed after 3 months. please have patience.....

Hi everybody,
I have a concern which I raised before, but again I am worried.
My friend is using a local representative, his consultant told him that there are new laws for immigration that will be submitted to voting in March 15th this year, and according to what he said, those new rules will affect everybody even those who received AOR from SY and their money will be refunded, I find this highly unlikely but his words made me very worried about this issue.

Does anybody know anything about this?!!

Relax and think again. If at all that happens can we control it?
More over it may be a rumor only, so let us commit our selves not to propagate this message till there is any conformation. If at all this turns out to be true, there is little chance that they will implement a law which is back dated, and even if that happens we have no choice but to see how to handle it then

Prepare the docs and send them to CHC and hope for best

Yesterday, 13th February 2010 i have recieved email to submit complete application within 120 days to Canada high commission London UK.

Thats very quick, more than i expected & wanted

Hi Ankit,
Thanks for asking, IELTS General is not really a hard exam, I guess it is easy to pass, I noticed that it is better to concentrate on the skills of dealing with the exam and answering the questions, than to try to improve my english. (note that I need 16 points out of english language)

Anyway I did well in reading, writing and speaking, but in the listening I lost concentration and with it I lost a few questions, I hope for the best, if I do good at listening I guess I will be in the safe side.

My advice for those who wish to sit for the IELTS is to obtain or buy english exams similar to the real one and practice on them, it is a lot more accurate than the ones on the internet. I bought a CD with many exams on it and this did help a lot more than the internet.

Thanks for updating info, and plz correct in the list that I got doc request on 10.2.2010 instead of 9.2.2010.

Another correction is " DONX' got doc request on 12.2.2010 and not on 2.2.10 , as given in the list.
