My boss has just received a call from CHC to inquire about his awareness about the fact that I had applied for Immigration.

Surprisingly, My online status is showing "received by Visa Office' may be it has not been formally updated.

Don't think like that buddy. U are already in USA, and I have never traveled abroad, so nothing like comparison. No two individuals are alike!! Isn't it.

Regarding documents I strictly followed the document checklist (E37029), sent everything in the similar format they demanded - birth certi., marriage certi., last 6 month bank statements, bank letters, appointment contract, reference letter, original transcripts and degrees in university sealed envelope , etc etc.

I had attached business card of my Boss with the reference letter.

Kindly rectify the list. Delete 17. KHANBABA as he sent his full application on 12 December  to CHC london and not to CIC , NS. He is active in another December form(who sent full application in December 2009)

Hello everybody,
I received a strange email from my representative today, I sent him a list of the documents I will be sumbitting, the strange thing is that I am sending an original birth certificate in English, he asked me to copy it and notarize it since this is what is wrote in the checklist, I thought originals would be better since I can get them in English but it seems he has another opinion.

Am i supposed to follow the immigration checklist uo to even this detail !!!!!!!!!!!

And I was about to send my high school certifcate, the final exam from which I was allowed to go to university (we call it here Tawjihi), but he told me that only the post secondary degrees are needed, that is the university degree !!! thats a bit strange as well

Sure you should, no doubt about that, the documents are not enough as a proof. Not only that the birth certificate MUST show all other details such as your father name and your mother name along with the place and date of birth.

Please do issue one as soon as possible since this is mandatory.

YOu must send it, They file it with your PR file and later they needs that while converting your PR status to a Citizenship, so its a legal obligation for CIC.

thanks jonthan n hareega for information. i was thinking that passport / education certificate will verify the DOB, it works like this. but u r right. i will collect it. thanks alot.
