Just search the Letters "ENF"

For landing procedures: Document ENF 4 (Port of Entry Examinations), Section 12 (Examining foreign nationals seeking to become Permanent Residents at ports of entry)

For the PR Card: Document ENF 27 (Permanent Resident Card), Sections 6 (Definitions) and 7 (Precedure: PR cards provided to new premanent residents)

Hopefully by reading what they are supposed to do by their own procedural manuals, you can rest easy knowing what to expect when you "come home" to Canada.
