Hello all,

Flight tickets are cheaper online but there is no option of having a temporary booking (to be used as document for Visitor's visa). Any suggestions what can be done to avoid more expensive tickets while still be able to send the flight itinary to the visa office?

Thanks.

You don't need the flight tickets, it says if applicable on the application.. However, if you are wanting to include them as hopes for a better chance... I think the only other option is to purchase a ticket with an airline who has transferable credits and then you can transfer the credit into someone elses name if you end up not getting the visa. (I know westjet has this policy, and their prices are pretty good.)

I was looking at doing the same thing as you, but after a lot of hours of researched came to that conclusion lol, so if u find anything better please let me know Smiley

-Also, what airlines did you find with expensive tickets that will give full refunds?

Thanks a lot for the info. I was referring to travel agents (not online) offering 80% refund.

Wouldn't they be able to provide confirmation of the booking?

Yeah, the travel agents can provide booking but their tickets are more expensive. Alternative would be the online tickets which are cheapest, but no booking can be made - therefore you can't get any travel itinary document with them for TRV application without paying the full ticket and worst, you won't get any refund in case you visa is denied!

Hi, here in Dubai, i just paid 15 Usd to one travel agent and got the booking confirmation which i used for visit visa purpose, and later when the visa was issued, i purchased my ticket online.

Cheers...

Hey Jam,
I just went back and looked at my previous bookings with Westjet, and I got a flight itinerary emailed to me right away after each purchase.  It says the flight number, status confirmed, what days I will be flying and my name. I am sure that's all you need...

Whenever I have booked a plane ticket online, I get the full itinerary for approval just before paying.  So, I'd print that approval page to show CIC.
