first time applicant...need help :)

hi everyone i am in the process of filling out Part 1: Application to Sponsor and Undertaking.
I have filled everything out but the signatures at the end has me a bit confused. Do i need to send this application over to my wife that lives outside of Canada for her to sign? or is it only required to be signed if shes living in Canada with me at the moment ?

The sponsor (you) and the sponsored person (your spouse) also should sign on this form. Otherwise it will be returned to you by CPC.

I had my wife print that page, sign it and FedEx it to me.
