Hi everyone,

I just received a letter from the cic stating that I have meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent resident provided with a client number.

In the letter, stated that I can either apply for a study permit or a working permit.

I wanted to ask the following:

      1. If I would like to apply for a working permit, do I have to have a job offer first?
If not, do I just fill out the application and send it in? Normally how long will the working permit be granted?

      2. Also, I wanted to know if I can leave Canada to travel during this waiting period? Do I have to obtain a re-entry visa?

      3. How much more longer will I have to wait for the whole process to complete?

      4. What do I have to do next after applying for the working permit other than wait?

If someone could give me some idea of what I have to do now, that would be great.

Thanks,
Carlu
