Has anyone ever been denied first stage approval?  I'm wondering whether they ask you for further information before refusing to allow you to sponsor or do they just outright deny you?  I live in the UK, sponsored my husband and we had to prove we intend to move back to Canada, but I found this very difficult to do (ie: I have no job lined up or mortgage, etc)....?

1.  Yes, not eligible, sponsored a spouse in the previous 3 year, reneged on a previous sponsorship, on welfare. undischarged bankrupt.
