....until they first contact you letting you know they at least received your application?  Is that what the AOR is?  Telling you they got your stuff?  I'm curious how long we should expect to wait.   Smiley

(This is self-employed class.)

Thanks!

Hi,

If you have send your docs to CIC then it will take some months as those who applied after 26th June havent got any reply till now.
If you have send your docs to visa office then it depends on the visa office every one has its own time frame depending on how busy they are and yes this is AOR.

Cheers

Thanks so much Saki.

This was to Buffalo.  I'm not sure if that's CIC or a visa office.

So it sounds like it might be normal not to hear anything back until even May of next year.  Wow.  I guess everyone must pass this time worrying if they lost the application. Smiley

Ok Buffalo is a Visa office CHC, you can check the other thread for Buffalo visa office this will give you an idea how much buffalo visa office is taking time to issue 2nd AOR and you can check your status online and if it change to "Received by VO" then its means they have received your docs and 2nd AOR is on the way by regular post.

Thanks, Saki.

Do you happen to know if all forms of application (skilled worker, family,  business, etc) all take the same amount of time, or are they on different tracks, so that some go at different speeds than others?

The reason I ask is because while there is a lot of information on the FSW forum about the times it's taking for those, there's almost nothing in the business class forum.

For the migration visa it takes almost same time but for different visa there is different time lines for e.g student visa, vist visa  etc they have different time lines but for migration visas i think its almost same for all classes.
