Hi Guys,  I am just confused my language ability assessment for the first and second language.  Am I going to asess myself for first and second language or I need to pick one?  They are totally similar.  I am working in USA since 2006.  Please help me to give score myself for the first and second language.  Do I still need to take IELtS.  Thank you.  I am applying for Manitoba PNP

Canada has two official languages. If you know both you get more points at the end of the day. You have to assess both languages - even though your English/French knowledge might be zero.

Thanks Sept. 15.  Now I understand.  So my second official language will be french which I don't know anything about french language,  so I will get zero on my scond language.  Since I am working in Hawaii for for 5 years already,  I don't need to take IELTS,  right?  Thank you again

You do not need IELTS if 1) Your First Language is English 2) you went to a Canadian/American High School. If you were born in USA, studied in the USA and working in USA, I would assume that your first language is English.

Thank you again sept15.  May I know how to get a job offer?  Do I need to contact agencies to help me finding an employer who can give me job offer.  How you get yours?  Please help me co'z I really want to move to Manitoba.  Thanks a lot
