i finished my repeat medical(sputum culture and afb)hopefully the final result will be going to london by this week.if someone is having the same situation pls share your time line.so that we can update

6-8 weeks for the culture and then the repeat x-ray plus about a month to review at the RMC London. |

We did our first medical in October 2009. Then came the follow up medical for sputum culture (which was negative) and x-ray. After six month of long wait I got another medical furtherance letter form CHC ND for sputum culture and x-ray. My medical report will be sent after 29 of August.

Hi Everybody,
Does any of you have seen your status under process have a line that says " Medicals have been received" before receiving a second request for medicals?
I would appreciate any feedback as I have been waiting for my passport request for 7 weeks already.

Hi jalap! Did they mention on their furtherance letter the reason why there's a need to repeat the sputum & x-ray? Since your first sputum result was negative? Our first medical was April 2010 & a follow up medical for my husband's sputum culture (negative result) & xray (clear lungs) last May 14 w/c was submitted last July 19. Good luck to all of us  |

Hi oh!Canada,
There was no reason given for the medical furtherance. I think they just want to compare the x-rays and make sure that there is no growth since mine is a latent TB case. Your husband's case is different. His x-ray shows clear lungs. So don't worry.
