I got approval in principle last month, and was required to do fingerprinting before my landing interview can be scheduled. I had it done 2 weeks back ...I have no criminal record ... I was just wondering how long it takes to get the results from immigration.

you mean you did the fingerprints for the FBI clearance, or in the inland process, you do the fingerprint direct with the immigration?

Someone in CPIC (criminal records) has a similar name and age as the OP.  So they want prints to ensure that it is not him/her.  I hope that s/he did digital prints at the Corp of Commissionaires (results in a week) rather than paper prints which take 3 months.

Thanks guys,
I did the fingerprint with Commissaire - Inland sponsorship. I called cic customer service last week and was told they can't see anything about it being received, but when I called the officer in charge of my file I was told the fingerprint had been received.
Just waiting for my landing interview to be scheduled now.
