All,
Thank you all for your wonderful support and inspiration for keeping patience..
Finally, after long wait and sleepless nights I have got call from my consultant and he gave me good news about receiving file number for my case. Here's all details :
Application dispatched : 9th July 2009
Application received : 22nd July 2009
Received AOR/File Number : 15th Sep, 2009
No of days : 68 days..

Congrats for the next step.
NS is not an Visa Office, it is just an evaluation unit of CIC. FYI
Visa office will be either local CHC of your country or CIC Buffalo (in case you are in USA or Canada)

hi mdarji,
how long after u submitted your docs to CIC your DD was encashed?im kinda worried. I sumbmitted my initial documents to CIC aug 5, arrived AUG 12, till now my DD was not yet encashed

Sorry for late reply.. Actually my case was filed through consultant.. and I have already paid my fees in form of DD at the time of signing services with them. so I have no track record that at what time it got encashed.. but my app was sent on 9th July, 2009 and have received file number on 15th Sep which 66 days. In some cases it has taken upto 71 days.. So, I guess you should hear soon.. keep patience..
