Hi jirehrajan,

Though I had USD 20K+ in my US account, they never asked me this info. I was only carrying $2K cash. No bank draft or anything.
The immigration process was very smooth for me. No hassles.

Hope this info helps.

Thanks

Thanks everyone.

Though I work for a major bank in Toronto, what I could really observe are:

1. Apartments are very very expensive in toronto. (Compared to US)
2. Getting an initial break with your job is very very hard. If you have a US work experience, you can still be considered, else you really need to have contacts or you should be Steve Jobs II
3. People are very friendly & helpful.

Overall a great place. Love it!

Bank statements from outside US/UK may not be accepted. Seniors advised 20% funds in cash and rest in Draft/Travelers cheque. CAD 2000 - 3000 in cash would be enough if you dont want to spend much during your 2 week stay
